Continuity mistake: When Tom plays checkers with Bill and makes his last, winning move, there's a cut to a wide angle where the pieces on the board are arranged differently. (00:08:20)

Dogville (2003)
Directed by: Lars von Trier
Starring: Nicole Kidman, James Caan, Paul Bettany, Lauren Bacall, Jean-Marc Barr, Harriet Andersson
Revealing mistake: After the assembly where Grace speaks to the Dogville people she walks home chained to her wheel. However, the wheel that's supposed to be so heavy that she can hardly move around gets pulled along with the chain hanging through a little. (02:05:10)
Revealing mistake: Before the Thanksgiving dinner the air is full of seeds which are supposed to be carried here from far-away meadows. However, all seeds fall down absolutely vertically like light snow in calm air, and there is no hint of the wind that blew them here. Plus, when the people sit down for dinner the seeds disappear between shots. (01:03:10 - 01:05:40)
Chuck: God only knows what that woman is capable of.
Grace: You know she's not capable of anything.
Narrator: It was as if the light, previously so merciful and faint, finally refused to cover up for the town any longer. Suddenly you could no longer imagine a berry that would appear one day on a gooseberry bush, but only see the thorn that was there right now. The light now penetrated every unevenness and floor in the buildings and... in the people.
The Big Man: Rapists and murders may be the victims according to you, but I, I call them dogs. And if they're lapping up their own vomit, the only way to stop them is with a lash.
Grace: But dogs only obey their own nature, so why shouldn't we forgive them?
The Big Man: Dogs can be taught many useful things, but not if we forgive them every time they obey their own nature.
