Revealing mistake: As the teacher is walking up to Cassie's volcano experiment at the Science Fair, there are many people scattered about in the background around the room and at different exhibits. Except for Scott, the teacher, and Cassie, everybody else is perfectly still like statues. It's distracting, especially with them positioned all around supposedly mingling, walking, and looking at other experiments. Everybody is static. (00:00:05)

Continuity mistake: Cassie is first seen talking to her dad; she is shown sitting in a green chair in her close-up. When the camera angle changes to a far shot showing her volcano, suddenly the green chair has vanished. It appears again in her close-ups. (00:00:05)

Continuity mistake: After her teacher walks up, Cassie jumps up excited to pour the chemicals into her volcano to set it off. It cuts to a quick reaction shot of Scott realizing he forgot to give her the baking soda. Then it cuts back to Cassie; suddenly, she is sitting down in a green chair and her teacher's hand is on the back of the chair. Also, her position next to the volcano has changed; note the corner of the board when she's standing then sitting. (00:00:15)
