Trivia: The writer stated on his Letterboxd account that the movie started out as a joke, where he'd pitch a movie to friends as "What if Frosty the Snowman came to life, but was a super-hot dude?" before hitting them with the punchline, "It's called 'Hot Frosty!'" But after repeatedly telling the joke, he fell in love with the idea despite how absurd it was and ended up writing it as a script.
