I used to own this game on the N64. (Most of my old games were stolen a long time ago)

I had all 4 of the Star Wars games on the N64 and played the hell out of each one of them. It's been so many years now that I do have mostly just fuzzy memories of them, but I'm going off my memory and nostalgia anyways.

Battle for Naboo was one of two Phantom Menace tie in games on the N64 along with Racer. The other two were set during the original trilogy era. This one, except for a few unlockable bonus missions, is set entirely on the planet of Naboo or in it's orbit, and the plot takes place parallel to the film. The character from this game even appears in the movie as a background character.

I know Rogue Squadron is often considered the better game, even with this one being the follow up, development wise, to that game. However, I think I always liked this game more than Rogue Squadron. I still put countless hours into both games. That said the graphics in this game are a bit worse than Rogue, especially the character models. However I've never usually been one that's a big stickler for graphics.

So this takes place during the war on Naboo during Phantom Menace where you are a pilot in a group of resistance fighters battling against the Trade Federation's invasion force. Ship and vehicle combat, it's fun as hell. And it's this game where I fell in love with the N-X Police Cruiser. In fact that ship, and a lot of this game, have been a big influence on the Star Was fan series I'm writing, Star Wars: Sunrise.
This game can get difficult at times, and I remember moments of frustration. But I'm stubborn and push through no mater what and still completed this game.
If you like the prequel era or grew up during that time, or are a fan of the N64 and Star Wars games, this is a must play. I wish they'd bring it over to Steam already. In fact it's the only one of the four N64 Star Wars games to not be on Steam, which is a real shame. I'd love to play it again. Though maybe some day i'll dust off my old N64 and try to buy some physical games off eBay again to replace what was stolen from me.

Mistake Status: I have a couple listed, I believe just from memory back when that was still fresher on my mind a few years ago. Hopefully will be able to revisit this game at some point. If not I'll probably watch videos of cut scenes and stuff on YouTube to get more mistakes.

Quantom X

Bug: On one of the Naboo surface levels, Panaka is standing beside a door way leading to a small encampment of droids and tanks. Usually, just a few friendly fire shots will kill Panaka and you fail the mission. But some times, inexplicably, he becomes totally invincible in that same spot. You can shoot, blow up, and ram into him all you want, but the little guy is unhurt.
