Other mistake: On the defeat screen after you win against Team Rocket Go Leader Cliff, sometimes his Poké Ball will still be stuck to his hands, sticking out from his knuckles as if he's wearing it like a ring.
Revealing mistake: The player character model can be standing inside a Pokémon in the overworld if they cross paths, clipping through each other.
Other mistake: The player character and your buddy Pokémon will cast shadows in the world while walking around. However, wild Pokémon that spawn around you and your buddy do not have shadows, despite being in the same light source.
Deliberate mistake: Regardless of where the position of the sun is or the shadows cast off the player and his buddy Pokémon, the Team Rocket Go hot air balloons always cast a perfect round shadow directly beneath them. No elongation or shifting due to the light source. This is obviously done so the player always knows when one is overhead, but it still is a mistake in how shadows work.
Deliberate mistake: Fish Pokémon like Magikarp, Goldeen, and Tentacool straight-up hover in the air when you encounter or battle them—even if you're on a mountain, street, or desert. Which just looks goofy, but it's an intentional design choice so you can catch and use water mons anywhere without needing an actual pond. Basically, they're floating in "invisible water" for gameplay balance. They "swim" in the air, complete with bubbles sometimes appearing around them or a splash.
Character mistake: Often times the game gets the weather wrong. Usually, it will show there is rain in the game even if it's not raining where you are. This can often be due to rain in a nearby location, but it reads the local weather wrong. Or it can be raining IRL but it doesn't show in game, which can cause you to be unable to evolve rain requirement Pokémon.
Bug: If you put on the Lugia mask, it has a long nose on the front. If you put on the Team Skull face mask under it, suddenly the Lugia mask is cut in half with most of the snout and nose missing. Despite the Skull Face Mask not interfering with the Lugia mask at all, they don't even touch. No other mask or face accessory causes this to happen with the Lugia mask.
Revealing mistake: The Alolan variant of the Exeggutor is portrayed as being so tall that its head is usually off screen above the camera, but when bending down for attacks you can still see it's head. If you defeat a gym while using the Alolan Exeggutor however, the victory screen will have it's head cut off much lower down and just disappearing into the void where it could still be seen otherwise.
Revealing mistake: If you equip the Poke Ball Grip pose for your character, and have a buddy Pokemon walking next to you, in the character screen your foot can be inside the Pokemon or leg going through them.
Bug: When viewing your Buddy Pokemon from your character screen, if you spin the Pokemon around or turn him while running your finger down over his candy to go to your stats page for him, sometimes it causes an animation error. Where the Pokemon will be duplicated and standing inside itself at the top, usually in different positions from each other slightly or animations lagging behind on one just barely.
