Continuity mistake: In the outdoor restaurant scene (where Tim Robbins has just spoken to Burt Reynolds), the waiter brings Tim Robbins a bottle of water and a wine goblet, but when he pours the entire bottle of water into the goblet, it's obvious that it was not a full bottle of water to begin with. It doesn't fill the glass of half way. A waiter would not serve an opened bottle of water to a diner.

Continuity mistake: When Tim Robbins opens the trunk of his Range Rover to get his umbrella to kill the rattlesnake in his front seat, watch for the reflection of the guy holding the camera. As Robbins goes around to the front, so does the cameraman. You can easily see his reflection in the car's windows the whole time.

Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, the clock in Tim Robbins's office reads 9:05. About 5 minutes later, when he walks to the building around the corner, the clock there reads 2:25.

Continuity mistake: At the end, when Tim Robbins is driving home in his Rolls-Royce, the legs and sneakers of the cameraman hanging out of the pickup truck can easily be seen, reflected in the Rolls' grille.

Continuity mistake: When Griffin tells Bonnie that he's going out of town, his tie moves from side to side.

Bonnie Sherow: How could you let him sell you out? What about truth? Reality?
Tom Oakley: What about the way the old ending tested in Canoga Park? Everybody hated it. We reshot it, now everybody loves it. - That's reality.
