Continuity mistake: When the shootout starts in the airport, the Expendables shoot some bad guys and duck behind a service kiosk. We see Chuck Norris shoot one villain from the second floor behind and above the Expendables. Moments later, when the Expendables advance into the airport, they shoot several bad guys that are on the same level Chuck Norris should be on. Chuck Norris apparently disappeared.

Continuity mistake: When the villains get the last of the plutonium out of the cache, we see one villain shoot the chain suspending a concrete cap; causing it to fall and close the hole. A short time later, we see Maggie exclaim that the plutonium is gone. The cap could not have been lifted because all the miners were taken away, yet the cap is gone and we can see into the cache.
Barney Ross: That's how we deal with death. Can't change what it is so, we keep it light until it's time to get dark... and then we get pitch black. (00:53:55)
Trivia: Booker is a nod to "Good Guys Wear Black" in which Chuck Norris portrayed a character named John T. Booker. In both films Norris plays a retired military operative in a rescue mission to help his old comrades.
Question: When Maggie asks Barney if he still thinks about Billy after his death, he says "We keep it light until we have to get dark. Then we go pitch black." What exactly does Barney mean by this?

Answer: "We keep it light" refers to their mood. They joke around and tease each other and have fun. "Till we go dark" is when they get serious for killing. "We go pitch black." Meaning as dark and brutal killing machines as possible.
