This is my favourite of the Bourne films mainly because visually it's easier to watch than the Matt Damon films which went too far with the shaky cam and jump cuts. Those practically gave me motion sickness, it was like watching a strobe.

Also Jeremy Renner made a worthy alternative character to Bourne and the writers did a clever job of fitting this alternative world around the existing Bourne films.

There were some dull, if slick action sequences, like the motorbike chase in the Philippines, and of course not enough characterisation like most action films, but overall I enjoyed this and was disappointed there were no more Jeremy Renner sequels.

Byer: We are the sin eaters. It means that we take the moral excrement we find in this equation and we bury it down deep inside of us, so that the rest of our case can stay pure. That is the job. We are morally indefensible, and absolutely necessary.

Trivia: During filming of the movie's opening scene, the water Jeremy Renner swims in was so cold that his facial hair frequently iced over.
