Killing Bono

Factual error: In the scene where the band is jamming on the tour bus for the first time, the cars you see out the windows in the street are very modern, despite the movie being set more than 20 years ago.

Factual error: Back in '87, Croke Park could only hold 57,000 for a concert, not the 80,000 stated at the end of the movie.

Factual error: In this film, Bono has injured his shoulder prior to the band's June Croke Park shows that year. He did this later, in September, at a show in the USA. U2's debut album came out in 1980, not 1979, the year of the pope's Irish visit.

Factual error: Dublin didn't have one of those big London Eye wheels way back in 1987.

Continuity mistake: Neil McCormac - the main character - has a bust up with his American girlfriend. From the first angle he has only got a T-shirt on, then the camera changes angle and he suddenly has a sweater on. Then the camera angle goes back again and he's lost the sweater again. (01:15:00)
