Continuity mistake: When the RV is driving to Amarillo towards the end of the film, the vehicle is coming towards a detour sign and we see a group of road workers, one of which is a bearded man with a cowboy hat and no t-shirt. But when we see a view from the RV going towards the detour sign, the bearded man is seen walking towards his colleagues.

Correction: However, they are in Texas and it's warm enough to swim in January (especially since most pools are heated). Most of the time they're in central Texas, but even accounting for being near Amarillo, if you look at historical temperature figures, in Jan 1975 in Amarillo, there where days were it was more than 70°.
