Other mistake: In one flashback to a Carter-fight, while Carter is resting someone rubs his back with a sponge to cool him off. The sponge is dry when it should have been wet.
Det. Sgt. Della Pesca: I'm gonna take your black ass down Mr. Fucking Champion of the World.
Rubin 'Hurricane' Carter: I got your black fucking champion right between my legs you short punk bitch.
Trivia: In reality, after the trial when Rubin is released after 20 yrs, he actually didn't speak to the press. He had a decoy dress in his coat and left out the back.
