Fletcher Christian (Mel Gibson) and the other crew members make it to Pitcairn Island and burn The Bounty. Bligh (Anthony Hopkins), Fryer (Daniel Day Lewis, Cole (Bernard Hill) and the other crew members make it to an island run by Dutch soldiers. Back in the present day, at Bligh's trial, he is cleared of charges and he remains in the Navy. For almost 20 years, the fate of Christian and the others who arrived at Pitcairn island was unknown until a whaling ship arrived. Former Bounty crew member Adams was on the island with many women and children. It was rumored that Christian died on the island but later it was reported that he returned to England. His descendents continued to live on the island...
