Alexander the Great (1956)
1 factual error
Directed by: Robert Rossen
Starring: Peter Cushing, Richard Burton, Fredric March, Claire Bloom, Danielle Darrieux, Barry Jones
Continuity mistake: After the battle Phillip is celebrating on top of a rock. He is shouting, "Phillip the barbarian!" A dead soldier in yellow is laying face-up with his head toward the camera. In another shot, as Alexander approaches Phillip you can see the dead soldier has moved over to the left and his head is pointing to the viewer's left near another dead soldier. In the final shot as Alexander and Phillip leave the rock, you can see the soldier in his original location. (00:45:00)
Philip of Macedonia: Alexander, you have my temper.
Alexander: I know.
Philip of Macedonia: And my ambition, more I think. Alexandroplis? At least wait until I die first. hahahaha.
Trivia: Danielle Darrieux plays Richard Burton's mother in this film. Darrieux (born 1917) was only eight years older than Burton (born 1925).
