Deep Cover

Factual error: I seriously doubt that the DEA would recruit police within different police departments in the U.S. to work for them undercover. They have their own agents for that. Here Fishburne, a Cincinnati Patrolman, is asked to work Narcotics in L.A. for the DEA.

Factual error: In the bathroom scene when Fishburne shoots and kill James Morris. He uses a revolver with a silencer. Silencers don't work on revolvers as it does not cover the ammo cylinder.

Other mistake: In the club bathroom scene, Ivy has just finished urinating when Russell Stevens Jr./John Hull walks into the bathroom, where Ivy taunts John for a bit, and then Ivy proceeds to urinate on his leg and shoes. He wouldn't have any urine left to do that. (00:44:15)

John Hull: How much is this?
Betty McCutcheon: Do you know anything about ethnic art? Have you ever been in a store like this? See, we don't put price tags on our merchandise. So if you have to ask, then obviously you can't afford it.
John Hull: In that case I'll take two of them.
