Aliens have taken over the Earth and it's up to an inner-city youth and a disillusioned cop to form an effective resistance in this Science Fiction and political thriller that offers a nightmarish police state and hostile takeover scenario. Captive State has some interesting premises, a few warnings about freedom vs collaborators and survival under tyranny as well as the dangers of present technology worth thinking about, but it's a dreary ride.
