Continuity mistake: The position of Richard's legs change when he is dead on the stairway landing. Initially, Richard's right leg is bent at the knee and pointing toward the lower flight and his left leg is straight, going up the wall to the next flight. Richard's legs quickly switch from this position when Grace is approaching the landing to his right leg going up the wall and his left leg not visible when Grace reaches the landing. Continuity mistake: After Sara's mother sits at the table, the left side of Sara's hair suddenly has two clumps of strands running down her cheek and flipped in front of her chin. Sara's hair changes a few times with different camera angles. (00:44:52)
Continuity mistake: The location and intensity of Lavinia's purple hair highlights vary throughout the movie. For example, the purple highlights on the right side were far more pronounced (two wide, distinct, vivid lines) when she got home compared to when she first met Ward. Lavinia rode her horse Comet home, so her hair would have been wind-blown and the highlights would not have been likely to be neatly straight down, especially since she has long curly hair. Continuity mistake: The girl and guy are in a hotel room and she kisses him good bye. You see her go out of the door and the door handle is on the left side and no chain hanging. Then when you see the door a few seconds later the door handle is on the right and the chain is latched.
Continuity mistake: The inspector is showing the singer the gruesome images of her friend. As he says "It's how we identified the remains", she raises her right hand, but in the next shot it's with the left hand that she's touching her lips. (00:04:45)
Continuity mistake: After the intro, the protagonist receives a phone call from her sister. When she turns around to check out of the TV screen, one of her fellow swimmers, with quite characteristic purple hair, is immediately seen sitting down. Back to the view from inside the locker, the same aubergine-haired girl is coming from the lockers to the benches, to go sit. (00:03:45)
Continuity mistake: When the girls bring a birthday cake into Judy's room at the first time, her bed sheet is patterned with what looks like flowers but when Judy is fast asleep the next time, the sheets are plain white. (00:52:30 - 01:15:30)
Continuity mistake: Bill Murray and Adam Driver approach Hermit Bob's campfire; in the close-up, the skinned rabbit is laid out exactly the opposite way than in the wider shots - head to the right, legs to the left. (00:01:25)
Continuity mistake: When everyone is leaving the basketball game near the beginning, watch the crowds around the main characters as they walk down the hallway. Sometimes the extras aren't consistent from show to shot. Ex. At one point a black couple brushes past Ryan - the man is on his right and the woman is on his left. When the shot cuts to the opposite angle, suddenly the man is to Ryan's left and the woman is totally missing. This happens a few times throughout the scene.
Continuity mistake: On top of the ladder, the Xmas lights wrapped around Shane change between shots repeatedly. (00:38:00)
