Snakes on a Plane picture

Plot hole: The snakes escape from the locked box stored in the cargo hold when a small explosive bolt detonates and opens the lid. Post 9/11 all luggage placed in the cargo hold of an airliner would be tested for explosives, and anything larger than half a match head would be detected. The chances of getting an explosive bolt on board - nil. None whatever. You can also think of it this way - if the bad guys could somehow smuggle explosives on board, why bother with such an elaborate and flawed plan as letting snakes loose on the plane? Why not just smuggle a bomb on board? Pan Am 103 - the so-called Lockerbie flight - was brought down with a bomb that fit inside a small cassette player.

Suggested correction: They wanted to make it look like an accident. If the snakes had done their job fully, plane crashes and no-one is the wiser. If the plane blew up halfway it would have screamed foul play. As it was in the movie it was just a terrible accident, a bunch of snakes being shipped got loose.

That doesn't correct the posting. The error is that they could not have smuggled a package equipped with an explosive bolt onto the airliner in the first place. It would have been detected and the package removed from the airliner and either defused or safely detonated. As for nobody being the wiser after the plane crashes, what were all those dead snakes doing scattered about the wreckage?

Poseidon picture

Plot hole: When the ship has turned on its side for the brief moment, it cuts to inside the ship where a hallway explodes, causing the ship to submerge. The only problem is the people are standing on the ceiling, but if the ship's on its side, they'd be on the wall, not ceiling.

X-Men 3 picture

Plot hole: When Magneto lands the bridge between San Francisco and Alcatraz, only the ends of the bridge are on land, with the rest still suspended in the air despite having nothing to keep it there. Magneto could arguably be using his powers to keep it supported, but at the moment he loses his powers it still does not collapse at the center.

Saw III picture

Plot hole: When John is painting the doll's face he looks down at a photo printout of Amanda, you will notice the bruising/scratches on the side of her face in the picture. Please take note of her hair, shirt and overall demeanor. Now think back to the first Saw when Danny Glover had Amanda in the interview room. The picture that John Kramer is looking at is a picture taken of her in "that exact" interview, this is strange however considering that the interview took place after she escaped the jaw splinter, so how does John have a picture of her from the future? Suggested correction: Light saw Ryuk after he tried writing a name down in the piece of the notebook hidden in his watch. Since he touched that piece, it makes perfect sense he would see Ryuk as that piece was originally part of Ryuk's death note and wasn't swapped by L.

The Da Vinci Code picture

Plot hole: The Louvre is home to art worth millions. Even with the electronic security measures in place the museum would be guarded around the clock by armed guards thus making the entire idea of the shooting of its curator and his killer escaping impossible.

Firewall picture

Plot hole: At the beginning, Bill or his henchman are seen watching the family in the house, which they would have course be doing always. If that is so, then why do they not know about the toy car remote that screws up the video signal in the house?

The Good Shepherd picture

Plot hole: Near the film's end, when Edward Sr.'s son, Edward Jr., is about to be married, Edward Sr. approaches his son looking very grim. He is about to tell his son that his fiancee has died. At this key moment, Edward's wife exclaims to her husband, "What have you done?!" Logically, this does not make sense, since Edward's wife, Margaret, has no knowledge (as far as the audience knows) of the Bay of Pigs leak made by her son, nor of her son's fiancee's spy role in obtaining the information. Without knowing this information, Margaret would have no reason to suspect that her husband was involved in some bad incident involving her son's fiancee.

Waist Deep picture

Plot hole: When 02 is carjacked, he runs after his vehicle for some distance. When he finally gives up, he looks into a nearby alley and sees Coco, the girl who initially marked him for the carjacking. This conveniently moves the story along, but makes no sense. She could not have run that distance so quickly, nor would she have reason to follow him.

The Sentinel picture

Plot hole: Right at the end when Pete calls for the "Hard Car" to evacuate the president, he gives very specific orders as to the evacuation point. Considering he was to be arrested on sight, there is no way he would know any of the security arrangements and they would surely have changed them radically because he was such a senior agent. The Secret Service is constantly changing their security.

Deja Vu picture

Plot hole: Just before the bomb explodes at the beginning of the movie, the guard is looking for the car playing 'don't worry baby' on it's stereo. In the final timeline the disaster has been averted, the bomb having gone off, and the ferry docked. After this, when Carlin is in the car, the same song is playing, but the bomb was set to a timer.

Suggested correction: That's why the movie is called Deja Vu and thats why Carlin gives the girl such a strange look. The song triggers a feeling of Deja Vu for him and it almost feels to him that he knows her. Besides, a different station could have been playing the song.

SexyIrishLeprechaun

Suggested correction: The first time it plays comes off the radio. The second time we hear it mid-play. It could have come from a different station, the same station could have played it again later, or a CD or cassette being played in the car.
