Factual error: One of the first races that Cole runs is Phoenix. Phoenix International Raceway is a very flat track. There are several shots in that segment showing a high-banked oval.
Factual error: When Jimmy hot-wires the Lotus for the last time, he touches a red wire to a black one, the starter engages and the engine starts. Then he twists the two wires together. This would result in the starter running constantly, overheating it, and burning it out. A competent car thief would know never to do that.
Factual error: It's highly unlikely that any military police from another country would be allowed entry into the U.S. to search for a deserter of its military. In any case, the illegal alien would just hide here under the radar until found by ICE or the police and then deported back to his or her country.
