Continuity mistake: In the early part when Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper are getting their choppers ready, the film clip was reversed. You can tell because the American flag on Fonda's jacket has the stars on the right shoulder, not the left like the rest of the movie. (00:06:10)
Continuity mistake: After the gang is pulled off the bank job, they race away in the three Minis - as they go through a tunnel at one point they roll up and down the sides of the tunnel. The mistake is that each car supposedly has two occupants, but on one shot of the cars in the tunnel, one car has only a single occupant - visible because the car following has his headlights on illuminating the car in front.
Continuity mistake: In the bicycle riding scene where Butch lets Etta ride on the handlebars, you can see her feet are resting on some sort of pegs protruding from the axle on each side of the bicycle wheel. When she is not riding, the pegs are not there.
Continuity mistake: The chain gang truck is an International-Harvester when it first pulls to the side of the road. When the guards open the hood, the truck is a Chevrolet.
Continuity mistake: Inside Moon City, artificial gravity is cited to explain why everything behaves as if under a full Earth gravity. And yet, in scenes out on the untamed lunar surface, everything is still behaving as if under a full Earth gravity.
Continuity mistake: At the porcelain store, after Tina drops the figure the position of the head of the man behind changes back and forth between close and wide shots.
Continuity mistake: When he is blackmailed in the car at knife-point, in one shot, the steering wheel is a white Mercedes steering wheel with logo. In all the rest of the scenes it is a black American car steering wheel. (00:05:02)
