Continuity mistake: When the Doctor grabs the rope there are several metres more behind him. But, as he's hoisted off the ground, he is almost at the end. (00:03:34)
Continuity mistake: In the scene when Donna asks the woman if she could borrow £10 because it's Christmas, you can see that Donna is wearing sports shoes instead of her usual white wedding shoes. (00:10:05)
Suggested correction: No, she's wearing the same shoes if you pay attention.
Never mind - she is wearing running shoes for no apparent reason.
The Sound of Drums (2) - S3-E12
Continuity mistake: When the Master stands up on the Valiant to announce that he is the Toclafane's "Master", President Winters is visible in the background, only the Toclafane aren't there. In the next shot, they return, buzzing around Winters' head.
Suggested correction: This seems to be caused by angles - the Toclafane are floating fairly high up, around the level of Winters' shoulders and above, but the Master is lower down. Hence, why they're not visible in the shot.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the episode, the police are chasing the bus and they give the numberplate as "Whiskey nine four seven Golf Hotel Mike." That is W947 GHM, but later on when the flying bus comes through the rift in time/space, the numberplate is completely different. This is because whilst filming in Dubai, the original bus broke down and had to be replaced. (00:17:58)
The Parting of the Ways (2) - S1-E13
Continuity mistake: Near the beginning of the episode, the Doctor and Jack destroy a Dalek who is inside the TARDIS. It is seen again later when the Doctor, Rose and Jack come back into the TARDIS after talking with the Dalek Emperor. Yet later when the Doctor is sending Rose home, there is no destroyed Dalek. Rise of the Cybermen (1) - S2-E8
Continuity mistake: When Rose is sitting on a bench and she gets a news report on her phone, look at the top of the phone screen - it says the time is 11:35. However, several minutes later, when the Doctor and Mickey find Rose, the clock says it's only 11:36. (00:15:05)
Forest of the Dead (2) - S4-E9
Continuity mistake: Near the end of "Silence in the Library," a sweeping shot shows that they're standing between two freestanding bookshelves. But at the beginning of this one, when they're supposed to be in the same place, they're able to break through a wall into a separate room.
Continuity mistake: After the Doctor brings Amy onto the TARDIS, the material of the tweed jacket he's wearing is entirely different in the close-ups of the Doctor's hands, as he's fiddling with the gears on the panel. (00:59:45)
The Christmas Invasion - S2-E2
Continuity mistake: When Danny is killed he is reduced to a skeleton but when his 'corpse' is seen on the ground only a few bones and his skull are visible.This however is impossible as a full skeleton should be seen.
Continuity mistake: When Yvonne Hartman is showing the Doctor through Torchwood after leaving the TARDIS, she goes to push a door open into the main building with one hand, but when the camera cuts to them entering the building she pushes them open with two hands. (00:20:10)
Continuity mistake: After the Doctor says, "Hang on, I missed it!" he smacks his head a couple of times and leaves a red mark on his forehead. When he turns his head immediately after that and says, "I saw," the red mark is no longer there. (00:32:35)
A Good Man Goes to War - S6-E8
Continuity mistake: Rory threatens Madame Kovarian with a sword. It's on her neck, then in the next shot the sword is not touching her. (00:23:38)
The Impossible Astronaut - S6-E2
Continuity mistake: When the Doctor is shot and killed while trying to regenerate on the beach, he falls with both legs extended. When River, Amy and Rory run up to him his left leg is bent. The camera cuts away again, and when it cuts back to show the Doctor's body one more time both legs are straight again. In addition, his left arm changes position between shots, between stretched out pointing away from his body on close-ups to bent with his hand resting on his thigh in wider shots. (00:08:15)
The Time of Angels (1) - S5-E4
Continuity mistake: When the Doctor is ready to catch River Song, the TARDIS exterior shown is that of the Tenth Doctor's, not Eleven's. In particular, the St John's Ambulance logo is missing. (00:04:35)
Continuity mistake: After the Doctor steps through the hologram of his past selves and introduces himself to the Atraxi, in a wide shot, there's a red jacket lying on the ground to the left of Rory. In a close-up of Amy and Rory immediately following, the jacket has suddenly leaped into Rory's arms, to join the other clothes he's holding. When the Atraxi flies away, the red jacket is back on the ground again. (00:53:55)
Utopia (1) - S3-E11
Continuity mistake: When the Doctor gets the rocket to work by tinkering with the boost reversal circuit, he picks it up with his left hand, sonics it, and then transfers it to his right hand, all in a shot where he has his back to the camera. In the next shot, facing him, he's holding it in his left hand as he pulls something off the device. The shot after that, facing Professor Yana again, the circuit is back in his right hand. Continuity mistake: When Clara takes Rigsy's chronolock, in the closeup of the tattoo Clara's lifting her hair with her right hand and showing the tattoo with her left hand, but in the next front-facing shot her hands have switched, she's holding up her hair with her left hand and showing the tattoo with her right hand. (00:26:45)
