Doctor Who

Rose - S1-E1

New this month Other mistake: When Mickey is trying to pull away from the trash bin, you can see his shadow on the front of his car, but the sun is shining from behind him and the car.

Movie Nut

Rose - S1-E1

New this month Revealing mistake: Most of the time, the eyes of the dummies are molded and opaque. But in the mall, there are small holes in the eyes.

Movie Nut

Rose - S1-E1

New this month Continuity mistake: The Auton in the red shirt is seen starting to come down the escalator, then at a quarter of the way down, then at the top again, just starting down.

Movie Nut

Rose - S1-E1

New this month Continuity mistake: The Doctor pulls the arm off Rose, deactivates it, and the fourth and fifth fingers are the last to stop moving. When the angle changes, the first two fingers are the last to stop.

Daleks in Manhattan (1) - S3-E4

New this month Plot hole: The guy working for the Daleks offers the homeless men in Hooverville a dollar a day to go into the sewer because the Daleks need more people. Most of the people refused and one called it slave wages. If they were not getting paid until they came back, and since the Daleks were planning on experimenting on them, the people weren't going to come back; why not offer them a large amount of money big enough to entice them but small enough not to be suspicious?

The Impossible Planet (1) - S2-E11

New this month Factual error: The Doctor (and the staff on the station) refer to the idea of a planet being in orbit around a black hole as 'impossible'. It is not. Gravity (and physics in general) works perfectly well outside of the event horizon. For all practical purposes - regarding orbiting around it - the black hole might as well be any other object, as long as it has an equal mass.

The Long Game - S1-E7

New this month Continuity mistake: After the Doctor gives Rose instructions, he crosses his arms and leans against the TARDIS. In the close up, he does it again.

The Doctor Dances (2) - S1-E10

Factual error: Magnetic tape recorders weren't available outside of Germany during World War II. True the tape recorder could have been captured from the Germans, but, as it was "cutting edge" technology for 1941, it would hardly be likely to have ended up in a hospital office.

The End of the World - S1-E2

Continuity mistake: Rose Tyler's hairstyle changes from shot to shot when she is discussing being 'the last human' with Cassandra. Rose's hair is in one style for the long shots, and another style for the close-ups.

Dalek - S1-E6

Revealing mistake: Dalek is escaping and enters the large room with the soldiers. He starts the sprinklers so he can kill them faster. When they show the dead soldiers they show some casings which were ejected from the soldiers' guns. The casings still have projectiles in them. If used, they would have been in magazines and would never fall out like they are shown.

Rose - S1-E1

Deliberate mistake: The final Auton attack in this episode is supposed to take place in a busy London street, but it is a pedestrianised area, and several shots reveal this. For example, there are no road markings visible, no apparent distinction between pavement and road, and a bus stop appears to sit in the middle of the 'road'.

The Big Bang - S5-E13

Revealing mistake: When The Doctor travels back in time after being shot by the Dalek, falls down the stairs and tells himself that he has 12 minutes to live we never see either of the 2 Doctor's faces onscreen at the same time, and if you look at the hair on The Doctor that's dying it is completely different to Matt Smith's. That's because it is Gordon Seed, Matt Smith's stunt double.

The Big Bang - S5-E13

Continuity mistake: When Amy's dad stands up to present his speech at her wedding, a tear runs down the right side of Amy's face. In the next shot of her the right side of her face is completely dry.

THGhost

Rose - S1-E1

Revealing mistake: When Mickey closes the wheelie bin lid, he then finds the plastic stuck to his hands, he lifts his hands up and the plastic stretches like tar. If you look closely when he lifts his hands up for the first time, you'll see that a shadow of one of his hands is cast on his shirt, yet there is no shadow of the strands of plastic stuck to his fingers.

Rose - S1-E1

Factual error: In the opening shot of this episode, we see the Earth from space. The camera then zooms into Western Europe, the UK, London, then into Rose Tyler's flat, where a jump cut to an alarm clock shows its 7:30am. But look again at the start of that sequence: it shows that it's daylight over the UK - and over the USA. This is of course impossible. When it is 7:30am in London, it is 2:30am in New York, as Eastern Time is 5 hours behind UK time. Usually, in New York, at 2:30am it is not daylight because it is the middle of the night.

Rose - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When the three bride Autons attack Jackie, and they open their hands one at a time, it is clear that when the second Auton opens its hand, all three are already open. After it cuts to Rose, and back to Jackie again, the third one opens (even though we just saw it already open).

New Earth - S2-E4

Plot hole: Those people created for medical experiments cannot run. In fact they can barely walk, so how come they can climb nearly as fast as Rose? What's more, when you see them climbing, they seem to have little ability to coordinate hand over hand. Even with the delay brought on by the cat-woman-thing, they should not have been able to keep up with her.

Rose - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When Mickey opens the lid to the rubbish bin and his hands are stuck to it, when he starts to stretch out the plastic and turn around, the strands switch hands instead of crossing.

LizzieWD

The Christmas Invasion - S2-E2

Revealing mistake: After the Christmas tree has cut through the wall in the Tylers' flat, you can see marker pen where the shape has been drawn and cut out.

LizzieWD

The End of the World - S1-E2

Continuity mistake: As the room that Rose is in gets scorched by the blazing sun, the level of burning is above her head in close up shots, but at Rose's shoulder level on wide shots.

Quotes

Doctor: So, that's the trap. Or the test or the final judgment, I don't know. But if I kill you, I kill her. Except that implies, in this big grand scheme of Gods and Devils, that she's just a victim. But I've seen a lot of this universe. I've seen fake gods and bad gods and demi-gods and would-be gods - out of all that - out of that whole pantheon - if I believe in one thing... Just one thing... I believe in her.
