Dreams - S8-E22

Visible crew/equipment: As the camera pans around the bed in Margaret's dream, you can see the camera man and equipment reflected. Also, when the soldiers march past, the shadow of the microphone rig plays across each one as they pass the bed.

War Co-Respondent - S8-E23

Visible crew/equipment: When they're all in the OR talking about Aggie being at the 4077, Charles compares Colonel Potter's art style to Aggie's, and in the next shot as Potter tells the art critic to tread softly, the boom mic is visible at the top, right side of the screen and just as the mic starts to pull up the shot zooms in on Aggie.

Super Grover

Back Pay - S8-E24

Factual error: In the Swamp, Dr. Wu says "maeu gamsahabnida" when taking out the needle. It was translated as "Dr. Wu says the treatment is completed." The correct translation is "thank you very much"

Movie Nut

April Fools - S8-E25

Visible crew/equipment: At the Officers' Club, after Potter and Tucker's practical joke is out of the bag and they're congratulated, when it cuts to everyone sitting at the bar, at the start of this shot the boom mic is visible at the top, left side of the screen just before it's pulled up.

Super Grover

April Fools - S8-E25

Visible crew/equipment: After the opening credits, in the closeup of Charles and Colonel Potter just as Charles complains about what's undoubtedly awaiting them in the mess tent, there's a shadow of a moving boom mic at the top, left corner of the curtain.

Super Grover

April Fools - S8-E25

Other mistake: When Charles, BJ and Hawkeye steal Margret's tent, what's left is a frame of wood, including roof beams. From other episodes we know that the tents are held up by a wooden frame around the edges and a center pole. We even know for a fact that Margret's tent is built that way, because in an earlier episode Hawkeye and Trapper saw through the center pole of Margret's tent. We also know that the construction principle of the tents hasn't fundamentally changed since then, because when Hawkeye finds the oatmeal in his boot earlier in the same episode, you can see the center pole of the Swamp.

Trivia: Gary Burghoff's left hand was slightly deformed, and he often hid it behind his clipboard during filming.

That's Show Biz - S10-E1

Question: Talking with stripper Candy Doyle, Potter remarks that he still remembers how she used to spin her tassels and that he is reminded of this every time he sees a C 42 revving up. On the net I do find references to a C40A, a C47 and others, but no reference to an aircraft of the time called a C 42. What would he have been referring to?

Answer: The C-42 was a military variant of the Douglas DC-2. Very few C-42's were built, so it's questionable that Potter would specifically have seen that particular model, but, given his military background, it's not entirely unreasonable that he might use the military designation even when the aircraft in question is actually a civilian DC-2.
