The One With Joey's Bag - S5-E13
Corrected entry: When Phoebe is talking to her dad in the coffee house, she asks Frank Sr. about his marriage to Lily and their two children. But Phoebe has already found out that Lily isn't her real mother because she lives in Montauk. Frank Sr. would surely know that Lily wasn't there real mother if indeed she wasn't.
The One With The Ball - S5-E21
Corrected entry: In The One With The Ball, Monica ends up showing she has an allergy to cat dander. But in the previous season, in The One With The Cat, Phoebe finds a cat that she thinks is the reincarnated spirit of her dead mother. Monica is in close contact with the cat, and even petting it in one scene. Now, it's possible to develop allergies over time, but the time between these two events is very short (in storyline time).
Correction: Monica never says that she has an allergy to cats. It's more likely that she sneezed because of the cat dander but doesn't have an allergy.
The One In Vegas, Part 2 - S5-E24
Corrected entry: Monica rolls the dice straight off the table, and it ends up stuck under the table. How can it suddenly travel backwards and get stuck under the table?
Correction: By bouncing off something.
Corrected entry: When Emily calls Ross at the end of the show and asks to be put on speaker phone, Ross agrees but he hangs up the phone, then presses the speaker phone button. You must turn on the speaker phone option before setting down the phone. Emily and the gang should not have been able to speak to each other because Ross hung up on her.
Correction: As she called him, the line would stay connected until she hung up (I work in telecommunications), had he called her, he would have indeed hung up on her.
The One Where Everybody Finds Out - S5-E14
Corrected entry: When Chandler tells Phoebe he can't do anything with her because he loves Monica, Monica comes out of the bathroom and acts surprised, but Chandler has already said that he loves her, in TOW the Thanksgivings.
Correction: Monica was surprised because it was the first time he'd said it to other people. She knew that he loved her, but it's another thing to say it to others (especially for Chandler). She, and everyone else, probably expected him to say something like "I'm going out with Monica", but he used love. This is backed up by Phoebe's exclamation of "I thought you guys were just doing it. I didn't know you were in love.".
Corrected entry: When Gary the cop comes looking for Phoebe, he comes to Monica's apartment. He tells her that he found her by looking at her file, which would have her address on it, so why does he come to Monica's apartment?
The One With All The Thanksgivings - S5-E8
Corrected entry: In The One With All The Thanksgivings, Monica is cheering up Chandler by putting a turkey on her head. Where did the whole uncooked turkey come from though, considering they had just had their meal? Did Monica just happen to have a large turkey in her freezer? To make matters worse, it is not possible for a human being to put a frozen turkey over his head for that long and not faint.
Correction: This is Monica, two possibilities are that 1) she had a backup turkey for Thanksgiving and 2) it's in the freezer for Christmas, which is only a month away. Lastly, I've never tried but I see no reason why she would faint in the time shown. I suspect the turkey is not airtight.
Corrected entry: In the scene where Phoebe finds the police badge, the cup in front of her moves around.
Correction: I've watched this scene very carefully and the cup simply does not move at all. It remains in exactly the same position for the whole scene.
The One Where Everybody Finds Out - S5-E14
Corrected entry: When Monica and Chandler enter Joey's apartment, Joey is sleeping with a toy penguin which he drops on the floor behind him. In the next shot, Hugsy is on the cabinet near the bathroom.
Correction: There is a similar looking cuddly toy on that cabinet but it is definitely not Hugsy. It's clearly a different shape.
The One With All The Resolutions - S5-E11
Corrected entry: When Rachel picks up the extension and overhears Monica talking to Chandler, she screams before she hangs up. Monica would have come running out of the room.
The One Where Phoebe Hates PBS - S5-E4
Corrected entry: When Phoebe tells Joey she hates the channel he is going to, she says that when she was living on the street they sent her a key chain. Well, at what address did they send it to? Ms.Phoebe Buffay, The street?
Correction: They could have sent it to a P.O box or a friend of hers or even a business she stayed close to.
The One With All The Thanksgivings - S5-E8
Corrected entry: When Phoebe has the flashbacks to her former life as a nurse in the war, the arm that gets blown off is very obvious a fake.
Correction: Yes it's a fake but there was never any attempt to make it look real - the blood spray is over the top too. It's just another aspect of the scene's silliness.
The One With Joey's Big Break - S5-E22
Corrected entry: In this episode, Rachel states that she can not stand having anything near her eye, however in the episode *The One with the Chick and the Duck*, she allows Ross to put eyeshadow on her.
The One With All The Resolutions - S5-E11
Corrected entry: Ross goes into Ben's room to kiss him goodnight. While he's in there, Monica and Chandler leave to do 'laundry,' Phoebe leaves, and Joey and Rachel have their dialogue. He's in there for a long time, but worst of all is that he doesn't hear Joey and Rachel's shouting, which he really should have heard, being less than fifteen meters away on the other side of a door we've seen several times can easily be heard through.
Correction: We don't know whether Ross heard the shouting. Ben may have been upset by the shouting, and Ross stayed in the bedroom to look after him.
The One Where Everybody Finds Out - S5-E14
Corrected entry: In "The One Where Everybody Finds Out," Monica and Chandler walk in on Joey when he is cuddling his bedtime penguin pal. He throws it over his chair but it isn't seen behind the chair or anywhere else on the floor, where did it go?
Correction: You never see the part of the floor where Hugsy supposedly came down.
The One With Joey's Big Break - S5-E22
Corrected entry: In TOW Joey's Big Break, Rachel and Monica leave the apartment for Rachel's eye doctor appointment. But Rachel exits the apartment then turns left(to go off-stage)when you must turn right to head for the stairs and leave the apartment block.
Correction: Rachel turns left because she is trying to get out of going to the doctor so she doesn't have to have anything put in her eye.
The One With All The Thanksgivings - S5-E8
Corrected entry: In The One With All The Thanksgivings Monica is trying to cheer up Chandler by putting a turkey on her head. You can see that she is only carrying a hat in her hands but after she places the hat on top of the turkey she also puts a big pair of yellow sunglasses on it. Where did the sunglasses come from?
Correction: When Monica comes up to the door she has the sunglasses tucked in her pants. Thats why the sunglasses seem to appear out of nowhere after she puts the hat on.
The One Where Rachel Smokes - S5-E18
Corrected entry: At the very end of the show when Chandler is looking for Rachel at her work he takes a drag off of Rachel's bosses cigarette. However we never see him exhale any smoke. He just imitates taking a drag.
Correction: He mumbles his words a bit - likely he just didn't exhale much. He definitely takes a proper drag though - you can see the tip glow.
The One Where Rachel Smokes - S5-E18
Corrected entry: In the episode where Rachel smokes, she tells her boss that her father is a doctor and he used to tell her 'horror stories' about what smoking does to you. But back in season 2 in the episode where they have two parties for Rachel, Dr. Greene asks Ross to get him a cigarette out of his coat pocket.
Correction: While you can't dispute the fact that Dr. Greene smokes, this doesn't necessarily mean that he would propagate it. He could have told Rachel all the horror stories about smoking while still being addicted to nicotine. Many smokers are very adamant in the belief that smoking is bad.
Corrected entry: When Rachel is flying to London we find out that a last minute ticket is $2700. Now even if a regular ticket was only half of that, how does Emily afford flying back and forth constantly?
Correction: First of all, she doesn't go back and forth that much, and no doubt will book a bit in advance, making it much cheaper. Most of the time she is ringing Ross, not speaking to him in person. Secondly, a family member of mine booked a flight to New York with British Airways for £199 ($300ish) return. It's hardly going to break the bank, and as we have evidence that Emily's family is fairly well off it's quite possible for her to be flying like this.
Correction: Phoebe's real mother left her children when they were born, in Phoebe's eyes Lily is her real mother. And Frank doesn't known that Phoebe found out about her birth mother, the easiest way for Phoebe to get information from him is to go along with the story she's been told from birth.
He doesn't know that this is Phoebe yet so he would probably correct her.
