Continuity mistake: When Chandler removes his clothes while he and Susie are in the bathroom, Susie picks up both of his shoes and holds them in her arms in all of her closeups, but when Chandler's standing on the toilet one of his shoes is still on the floor in the wideshots.

Continuity mistake: When Chandler throws the basketball and breaks the lamp, the base falls onto the chair with the shade, but when Joey walks into his room the lamp base is back up on the desk.
The One With The Lesbian Wedding - S2-E11
Continuity mistake: 12 hours before the wedding, Monica asks Joey to speed it up. Here she is stirring a bowl. In the next few seconds you can see Monica holding some condiments in her hand. After Phoebe answers, Monica is stirring again and the condiments are nowhere to be seen.
The One Where Heckles Dies - S2-E3
Continuity mistake: After Monica breaks the seashell lamp, when Phoebe says that she wants to believe Monica did it accidentally her right is arm up and points to Monica, but in the next shot it's Phoebe's left arm that's up while still pointing at Monica.
The One Where Joey Moves Out - S2-E16
Continuity mistake: When Joey and Chandler are at Joey's colleague's brunch, you can see a big wall clock in some shots. You can see it when Chandler says: "Wow, there's my fantasy's come true" with the minute hand at five to the hour. Just a few seconds later, when Joey says: "Can you see me in a place like this?" it can be seen when Chandler is in shot, and the minute hand is now at 20 to the hour. (00:05:40)

Continuity mistake: When the fight scene starts, one of the bullies takes off his watch and puts it into his right jacket pocket. When they put all of their jewellery into his cap, he gets his watch out of his right jeans pocket.
The One After the Superbowl, part 1 - S2-E12
Continuity mistake: Brooke Shields throws water at Joey, and he gets a large spot of water on his shirt, but in the next shot the spot is much larger than before. (00:15:55 - 00:16:55)
Continuity mistake: At the very end when U2 are on the radio it shows Rachel picking up the phone to ring the radio station. Without the song skipping it cuts to Ross and straight away the DJ comes on and says that Rachel rang her and told her what Ross did. How did Rachel ring up within the space of a second or two and say what Ross did and get the message through on to the radio? (00:20:00)
The One Where Eddie Moves In - S2-E17
Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Monica, Joey, and Phoebe are sat on the couch in the coffee house, (whilst the camera is drifting left) a boom mic at the top of the screen is visible for a short period of time. During this time the mic can be seen moving. (00:06:50)
The One With the Baby on the Bus - S2-E6
Continuity mistake: When Rachel is introducing the "professional musician" in Central Perk, just as she walks off a bald black man in a red shirt walks past the window. Then the woman sits on her stool and the man walks past again. (00:13:50)

Continuity mistake: The first time Phoebe performs at the library this takes place at the same time Joey is on his date. During Joey's date, it's night time. But, when Phoebe is singing, it's broad daylight outside. (00:07:20)
The One With Barry & Mindy's Wedding - S2-E24
Audio problem: When Rachel asks Barry and Mindy why people keep telling her to 'get well soon' and Barry says his parents told everyone she has syphilis, and in the next shot it shows Rachel trying to take this information in, Barry seems to still be talking, but no sound is coming out of his mouth. The One With The Lesbian Wedding - S2-E11
Audio problem: During the lesbian wedding, whenever we see a shot of Carol and Susan while the minister is talking, her mouth is not moving. (00:18:35)
The One With The Prom Video - S2-E14
Continuity mistake: On the actual prom video tape, it only takes Ross a mere 12-13 seconds to run up the stairs, completely change outfits into his Dad's tux, and reappear ready-to-go on the stairway. This is impossibly fast. Also, it is not possible that the prom video tape was stopped and re-started during this time, which could account for the short duration. The reason is because Ross's mom was the one filming at this point. It turns out that she has no idea how to stop the video recorder. Thus, the video tape was one continuous recording, and we are expected to believe that Ross could change outfits within 12 seconds. (00:21:25)
The One With the Baby on the Bus - S2-E6
Audio problem: When the lady on the street (played by Lea Thompson) is talking to Joey and Chandler, her mouth and her voice are not in sync.
The One Where Dr. Ramoray Dies - S2-E18
Visible crew/equipment: When Chandler and Eddie are sitting in their apartment getting to know each other, there is a visible microphone in the right upper corner. (00:03:45)
The One With Five Steaks and an Eggplant - S2-E5
Visible crew/equipment: In the part where Ross is on the phone with Julie he says "Say hi to Julie in New Mexico." When everyone is shouting "Hi Julie" look above their heads and you will see a boom mic dip into the shot. (00:03:10)
The One With Five Steaks and an Eggplant - S2-E5
Plot hole: Chandler has always loaned Joey money for various things (rent, acting classes, Christmas gifts, etc), so he shouldn't be surprised to learn that Joey doesn't have money for fancy dinners or birthday celebrations. Plus, Joey never seems to have a problem taking money/handouts from Chandler - why now? Also, Chandler explains that they're buying Ross a cake ($20), but why doesn't Monica (the chef and his sister) just make him one? (00:07:50)
The One With The Bullies - S2-E21
Continuity mistake: When the bullies are about to fight with Chandler and Ross, they decide to put all watches and keys into a hat. He takes the hat off and places it down and everyone puts the watches and keys in. The shot changes to a further out view and the bully has a different hat on his head while another hat is still placed where he put it. When there is a closer view of him, there is once again no hat on his head. (00:19:30)
The One With Ross' New Girlfriend - S2-E1
Other mistake: After Rachel takes the phone from Ross and hangs up on Julie, when she's sitting at the table there's a bottle of Evian water in front of Monica with part of its brand name covered - the letters "e" and "n" are whited out leaving "via" on the bottle.
Answer: Usually by the seventh night of Hanukkah you don't know what to get the other person, and you will probably resort to getting the other person something insignificant. Chandler is basically saying that the pen is a stupid gift.
