Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio explain in their commentary that the scene where Will is talking to Cotton's parrot was originally much longer, with Will insulting the parrot and later apologising. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Continuity: At the edge of the cliff, in the first overhead shot, when the four men lift the coffin its "head" side is nearest the water. However, in the next shot the "foot" side is nearest, before they throw it in the water.
