Continuity mistake: When Brackett tells Morton that he can go keep Early company while he awaits test results, Brackett's wearing a patterned tie, and when Brackett walks into treatment 3 his tie is tied differently.

How Green Was My Thumb? - S3-E17
Revealing mistake: After Johnny jumps into the wine vat, when he and Roy pull the drowning man out of the vat we can see the rubber/latex suit the man is wearing under his clothes, when his shirt is lifted up.

Emergency! (1972)
Continuity mistake: When Chet is being timed while putting on his gear, Squad 51 is parked much further up than the engine, providing more room in the apparatus bay behind the squad to run the drill. Then when Station 51 is dispatched to the explosion, the squad's parked normally. Additionally, we see the front bay door is closed, but that's impossible considering how far up Squad 51 was parked during the drill.

Emergency! (1972)
Visible crew/equipment: When Squad 51 is dispatched to the "possible heart attack," just as the squad rolls up on scene, we can see its real license plate with number 70324H, instead of the prop plate number E999007.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: When Squad 51 is dispatched to "possible heart attack" the address is "91st and Formosa" (the 'Black Tower' can be see behind the Chevron sign when the squad rolls up), and later when they're dispatched to "person caught in mailbox" the address is "Beverly Blvd and Main." What's funny is that the two incident scenes are filmed at the same corner of the intersection, with Universal's 'Black Tower' nearby. Have a look.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: When the squad and engine roll up on the scene of the bulldozer accident in the junkyard, just as the guy runs up to inform them about the victims, have a look at Squad 51's license plate number because it is not the normal prop plate number E999007.

Emergency! (1972)
Visible crew/equipment: When the boy who ingested ant poison is being wheeled into treatment 3, in the shot from the hallway we can see the electrical cord and plug lying across the floor, but in the next shot from inside treatment 3, that cord has vanished.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: Just as Squad 51 reaches the Tank Motorway, in the shot of the squad as it drives towards the camera before it zooms out, look at the squad's license plate before it stops. Even through the haze, we can see that the plate number is not Squad 51's normal E999007.

Emergency! (1972)
Continuity mistake: After John spots a cute nurse talking to Dixie, when he zeros in on Dix for the nurse's name Dixie's holding a pad in her left hand, but in the next closeup her left hand's empty as she gives John an entire run-down on that nurse.

Emergency! (1972)
Visible crew/equipment: At the horse ranch, after Bill falls off the horse again while the squad is chasing after him, when Roy kneels beside Bill we can see the shadow being cast by production equipment, presumably the reflector screen, on the ground behind Roy. Then after John checks Bill's ears and pulse, just as he contacts Rampart for the second time, we see movement which looks like a sleeve on the right side of the screen, beside John.

Emergency! (1972)
Deliberate mistake: While Squad 51 is chasing after Bill, who's slumped over in the saddle on the run-away horse, one of the shots of Bill from inside the squad is a flipped shot. Note the landscape, as well as the shadow being cast on Bill's right instead of his left.

The Promise - S3-E11
Continuity mistake: When Richard jumps out of Rampart's 6th floor window, the bottom of his feet are very filthy (impressive for someone in bed in a catatonic state), but when he wakes up while lying on the ledge and Johnny tries to control him, Richard's feet are now pretty clean.

The Promise - S3-E11
Continuity mistake: When Roy and John walk into Edna Self's house, in her closeups she's wearing a light beige floral robe, but in the shots facing the guys we can see that it's a dark solid color robe that's on the chair. Notice how odd it is that the three are not in any shots together - Edna's not in any shots facing John and Roy, and they're not in any shots facing her.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: When Roy and John are examining the boy who jumped from the ledge, they're standing at the back of Engine 85 while the boy's sitting on the tailboard, and we can see behind his head the vinyl material with the imprinted 85, covering the attached plate with the real company number.

Emergency! (1972)
Visible crew/equipment: At the structure fire, right after Captain Stanley and Roy throw the rope down to Johnny and the boy, and Cap tells Marco to use fog, in the next overhead shot as the guys use the axe on the partition fire, at the right side of the screen we can see a crew member wearing a short sleeve grey T-shirt, who's standing at the stairway landing right outside the door, as he's using the FX smoke/fog machine which is blowing smoke through the doorway.

Emergency! (1972)
Visible crew/equipment: When Engine 51 rolls up on scene at the paint factory structure fire, Captain Stanley heads towards the street corner, and we can see the actor's white T-mark on the ground before he gets on the HT.

Emergency! (1972)
Continuity mistake: When Engine 51 gets the run in the middle of the night, the engine company rushes to the rig including Johnny, which leaves Roy standing in the dorm alone. After he shouts out to Johnny from the doorway, when Roy turns to go back into the dorm, some changes have occurred - the locker room door is now closed, there are clothes lying on Cap's bed where none were a moment ago, etc.

Emergency! (1972)
Continuity mistake: When Engine 51 gets the run in the middle of the night, Johnny's so tired that he stands on Engine 51's tailboard half asleep, and as it rolls out of the bay and makes a right turn, Roy shouts out to him that the run is not for them. There are two problems with this. The entire back of Engine 51 is different between the closeup and wide shot - the surface, the lights, the license plate area, etc. Also, the engine makes a right turn out of the bay, but Roy's looking out towards the left while he's shouting, as if the engine's turning left.

Heavyweight - S3-E5
Visible crew/equipment: When the guy is stuck in the tree after his hang gliding accident, John ties the rope around the branch and begins to saw the branch while Roy uses that rope to slowly lower the branch. The problem is that just as the branch nears the ground, we can see the production crew's thin double lines securing the branch at the top right of the screen, and then those lines vanish when Roy joins John.

Emergency! (1972)
Visible crew/equipment: After Roy tells Jason that he has time to pop up to the orthopedic ward because it's Johnny's turn to cook, when Roy heads out receiving we can see the top of the set over treatment 1, right behind Johnny.
