Revealing mistake: After skewering the three skeletal pirates, Will places the lit bomb inside of Jacoby. In the close-up Will places the bomb through Jacoby's ribs, right under his beard and Jacoby's leather strap and buckle are not seen. Yet in the next shot as Will removes his hand, the strap and buckle are slung across Jacoby's ribs near his beard. It should have been seen in the close-up. (02:00:30)

Revealing mistake: When Jack sees Will run toward the Aztec chest, he quickly slices his palm and parries with Barbossa. In the shot facing Barbossa, Jack strikes the sword out of Barbossa's hand, then as Barbossa spins around his right hand is empty, and we hear the sword falling in the distance. However, when Barbossa says, "Ten years you carry that pistol..." Barbossa is still miraculously holding his sword - the sword tip is moving at the bottom of the screen, as he speaks. Revealing mistake: When Will hangs on the boom over the water, Jack says, "I can't bring this ship into Tortuga all by me onesy.." Then he brings the boom back and Will falls. While Will lies on the deck, in both shots, a band on the bottom of the right leg of his breeches is seen above his leg hose, whereas in the previous shot when he was falling from the boom, the band in not there. Revealing mistake: On their way to Isla de Muerta aboard Interceptor, Will and Gibbs discuss Jack and his history. Seen to the left of Gibbs are some of the crew looking out while standing at the ship's rail. It is obvious in some of these shots that the background is edited, the crew have the distinguishable blue screen ring around their bodies. (01:05:50)
Revealing mistake: Koehler and Twig are with Jack in the prison when Koehler reaches for Jack's neck through the cell bars. In the first shot, the ray of moonlight is outside of the cell bars, over Jack's head, so Koehler's arm becomes skeletal while still outside the bars and we see the 'cursed' sleeve till the elbow. However, in the next shot, the ray of moonlight is only inside the cell where Koehler reaches, so Koehler's arm and sleeve are normal until it becomes skeletal, just when it's inside the cell. Revealing mistake: Frodo, Sam, Faramir and Gollum are at the sewer in Osgiliath when Faramir asks, "Cirith Ungol?" and then grabs Gollum's neck. Frodo and Sam watch as Gollum is grabbed, but their eyes do not follow Gollum as Faramir grabs him, their eyes remain focused on the ground to their left. The shot of Faramir and the shot of Frodo and Sam were edited together, with Gollum added later. (01:42:20)

Revealing mistake: When Sarah walks into an artist and subsequently falls, she brushes up against the fresh canvas on the easel and falls into the wet paint brush he is holding in his hand. The paint is supposedly wet on this painted canvas and paint brush, as the artist is seen with his brush applying paint to this painting. If this were the case, then the paint would have smeared onto her, the red coat or her purse when she brushed up against it as she was falling or when she was on the ground, which is seen on the screen. Revealing mistake: Tom recalls meeting Sarah on the beach when the football slammed into her. In the shot of the football hitting her, we see the very soft sponge-like football hitting her blue cap and bouncing off. It obviously was not the football shown that Tom threw. (00:06:35)

Revealing mistake: When Sarah is leaning over Tom to speak to Yuan on the intercom at the McNerney gate, Yuan is looking at the monitor in the kitchen. The monitor shows the car and there is a person wearing a white shirt sitting in the passenger seat of Tom's car. It can't be Sarah, who was sitting in the passenger seat, but now is leaning over Tom in the driver's seat, plus she is wearing a red coat. (00:03:20)

Revealing mistake: When Tom is threatening Peter with the poker in the hotel room, Peter does a kata stance and blurts that he studied with a Chinese grand master. While looking at Christian Kane (Peter) hamming it up, we see Brittany Murphy (Sarah) start to laugh, but she tries to keep it together for the take, given the seriousness of that particular moment. Revealing mistake: After fleeing from Boromir, Frodo is approached by Aragorn and Frodo passes a statue on a stone base and a stone pillar near stone steps. As Aragorn follows Frodo, in these shots, Aragorn's height and waist reach the same markings as Frodo when he went past these same objects. (01:17:15)

Revealing mistake: When Gracie throws the crown up towards the Liberty prop, it does not fly normally. It's very obvious that it's a CG crown leaving her hand and flying through the air. Especially enjoyable if it's seen frame by frame. (01:39:55)

Revealing mistake: While alone with Gracie, Kathy says, "I've been fighting all my life against your type..." She then says, "Intellectuals...ugly women..." and Kathy's hair is noticeably longer at her shoulders than it was in all the previous shots. Gracie's left braid with red ribbon that sticks straight out differ between these shots too. Obviously this was shot in pickups. (00:55:55)

Revealing mistake: The shot from inside the bus showing the grounds outside of the hotel, including people, cars, flower planters, etc. differs from the next shot outside the bus as it pulls away. Also, when Gracie and Vic stand near the taxi, when Gracie boards the bus and when she is on the bus, many of the same extras walking around outside do repetitive or even contradictory actions in these shots.
