Apocalypse Now (1979)

Continuity mistake: Kilgore is talking about how he wants to surf the beach. The lighting changes significantly in the space of seconds from the shots of the surf to the shots of the fighting. The shots of the surf are later in the day while the angle of the sun in the fighting shots is higher indicating afternoon.

The Truman Show (1998)

Visible crew/equipment: During the scene following the leak at the plant when Truman's wife is trying to ask him what is going on, she is standing next to a counter. Look at the farthest left door. A shadow of a crew member can be seen moving.

Visible crew/equipment: The camera crane is visible reflected in the glass when the army dudes are prepping a rocket launcher. This is the scene before everyone is sliding down the building.

The Conjuring 2 (2016)

Revealing mistake: When the girl is hanging from the ceiling her hair is following what gravity normally does. This gives away that the set is actually upside down and she is really on the floor. If she were stuck to the ceiling her hair would've been down on her face.

Pete's Dragon (2016)

Continuity mistake: When Pete and Elliott return to their hideout after the ordeal on the truck is over, it is dark. Moments later when Bryce Dallas Howard arrives, there is a lot more light coming in through the trees and the scene looks brighter. This is in the space of five minutes or less.

Now You See Me 2 (2016)

Visible crew/equipment: The remote controlled camera is visible in the scene where the truck full of the horsemen is pulling into the garage. Look as the camera pans down and we see the top of the van. The camera looks like a box attached to some poles.

Cliffhanger (1993)

Continuity mistake: During the shootout with the bad guy with the night vision goggles, his point of view is seen several times. When he is chasing Sylvester he is always moving in the night vision scenes but is stationary in the regular scenes.

The X-Files (1993)

Humbug - S2-E20

Visible crew/equipment: When Mulder and Scully are talking to the owner of the trailer park and he is berating Mulder, you can see the edge of the lens in the upper left corner of one shot. This is because the lens used was of a wide angle almost fish-eye type and the edge of the lens itself can occasionally creep into the frame on most cameras.

Shallow Hal (2001)

The Campout - S2-E5

Factual error: This episode takes place almost entirely in the mountains. In Minnesota where the show is set, there are no mountains as tall as shown, particularly those that are snow-capped and rocky. The show was shot in California.

Horrible Bosses (2011)

Factual error: The guys are trying to find a seedy bar and are using the GPS with Gregory talking to them. The map shows them moving in one direction but the streets are diagonal from where they are going.

Dr. No (1962)

Other mistake: At the beginning of the film when the lady who is calling London on the radio is shot through the glass there is a jump cut. This shows that two scenes were spliced together. Perhaps the prop gun didn't work the first time. The framing of the shot noticeably jumps when the gun shot happens. (00:04:50)

Duane Barry (1) - S2-E5

Revealing mistake: The answering machine at The End appears to not be plugged into any phone line. The shot shows the phone jacks on the right side of the machine are empty. In order for an answering machine to work at least one of those ports would need to be hooked to the phone.
