The Avengers

Factual error: In the scene in Stuttgart, we see a "reserved parking" sign written as "Reservierten Parken". First of all, this is grammatically wrong - if used at all, it should be "Reserviertes Parken". But you wouldn't find a sign in Germany saying that. They say "Reservierter Parkplatz".

Continuity mistake: Throughout the film, Tony Stark's chest ring can be seen glowing through his shirt except for two occasions when it's suddenly off - after Loki escapes from the helicarrier, and when Loki and Tony Stark are talking in Stark tower, even when he's wearing the same shirt. The Avengers mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Hawkeye is breaking onto the Helicarrier, he and some snipers break down a duct cover and enter. When the cover lands on the floor, it is resting away from some pipes with some slats missing. As soon as Hawkeye enters the duct, the cover is now resting against the pipes, and the slats have reappeared. (01:10:35)

Factual error: In Stuttgart, the German police cars use the wrong lights (they should be blue instead of orange-yellow) and license plate marking arrangements. (00:39:40)

Continuity mistake: When the plane lands on the aircraft carrier, it is about to land on a yellow mark on the ground. The angle cuts and it's now landing in front of it. Then from the aerial angle it lands in the middle of both lanes, but a frame later it's on the right lane. Finally, the landing signal officer swaps from standing in front of the plane waving his arms, to several meters behind standing still. (00:31:45)

Factual error: The Mark 7 takes 9 seconds to assemble - give or take. Judging by the view of the Chrysler Building, Stark Tower is about 300 meters high. Even if you discount the time it takes for the suit to catch up with Tony, 9 seconds is too long, he would hit the ground before the suit would fully assemble. (01:41:35)

Audio problem: When one of the computer operators resumed playing Galaga, the sound effect heard is for an enemy ship attempting to capture the player's ship, but what's shown on screen is normal gameplay.

Continuity mistake: When Tony goes after the nuke, there is a huge cut visible above his right eyebrow (or viewer's left). Later on after his face mask is removed, his right eyebrow is completely visible in the shot, even with the helmet in the way, and the cut is nowhere in sight. (02:00:00 - 02:03:00)

Casual Person

The Avengers mistake picture

Continuity mistake: During the big battle against the Chitauri, Captain America is zapped with a blaster bolt. When Thor helps him to his feet we can see a significant amount of damage done to his suit, just below the star on the right hand side. But later on after Iron Man destroys the Chitauri ship with the nuke, the damage is completely gone. (01:59:25 - 02:02:40)

Other mistake: The video game company NAMCO Bandai is misspelled twice as "NAMECO Bandai" in the end credits, although fixed in the home video version.

Continuity mistake: When Thor lands beside the overturned car on the Park Ave viaduct in front of Grand Central, the car has a dent between its fender and tire, but in the next closeup that dent has vanished. (02:04:10)

Continuity mistake: During the battle of New York, Thor has just landed next to an upturned silver car. The rubble around the car changes/moves. The most noticeable is one wedged next to the front right wheel. The piece becomes much bigger in the next shot. (01:50:25)

Continuity mistake: When Steve and Coulson land on the Helicarrier, you can see two wings on the edge of the Quinjet they were in and they are both closed up. Next shot, as Romanoff approaches the Quinjet and Steve and Coulson exit, we can see one of the wings is completely open. (00:30:35)

Factual error: During the scene on the Helicarrier where Bruce Banner "Hulks out" and jumps at the F-35B hovering just outside, we see the F-35B fire its guns, one inside each of its intakes. The F-35B has only one gun, externally mounted to underside of the fuselage. It would be impossible to mount a gun inside an aircraft's intakes.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: We can only assume it's a F35B but it's never stated at being one. It's a universe with a flying aircraft carrier. That could have similar looking planes with far different technology and specs.

I dunno... I feel that's a very weak correction. It's too nebulous and opens up too many holes. What's to stop people from applying that to every other mistake? (Ex. "Oh, well this movie's universe, blah-blah-blah, therefore nothing could be considered a mistake.").

Revealing mistake: In the scene where Natasha Romanoff does a flip while tied to the chair, you can see her stunt double at the very end of her flip. Her arms become much more muscular. (00:14:30)

Factual error: The Königsstraße in Stuttgart is located in the city's main shopping area, not its cultural center as the film would suggest. (00:37:20)

Steve Rogers: What's the matter? Scared of a little lightning?
Loki: I'm not overly fond of what follows.

Question: How is Hulk a total mayhem on the aircraft carrier, almost killing Romanoff, but at the end he is acting as a team member? Banner did reveal his secret how to control not turning into Hulk, but not how to control Hulk himself...

Answer: During the end sequence of The Incredible Hulk Banner discovers that he can aim the Hulk in the right direction, give it a goal, which he uses to defeat the Abomination in that film. Key to that appears to be willingly accepting the transformation into the Hulk, which he does by choosing to jump from the helicopter. On the Helicarrier, Banner doesn't want to transform, it's caught him by surprise, he's fighting it, which is why it takes ages, is seemingly very painful and, as an involuntary change, the Hulk is out of control. In the final battle, Banner chooses to make the transformation, to "suit up", as it were, and thus the change is swift, painless and results in the cooperative Hulk capable of working with the others towards a goal.
