The Simpsons Movie (2007) - 14 major mistakes

Continuity: When Russ Cargill appears on the big screen to explain the dome to Springfield, Moe is standing next to Homer and Lisa. A few shots later, Moe is standing next to Lenny and Carl, with different people around him.

Continuity: When Homer drives to the lake to dump the pig crap silo, there are hundreds of 'No Dumping' signs along the way, but on the way back, all the signs are gone, including the ones Homer missed.

Continuity: When Marge runs back to the kitchen to retrieve the wedding video, the house is ablaze. In the next shot, when the mob is carrying the car away, there are no flames visible in the house.

Continuity: When the mob is charging toward the Simpson's house, we see Nelson in his regular clothes. When he shoots the arrow at the Simpson's, he is wearing a Springfield T-shirt.

Continuity: In front of Krusty Burger, when Lou carries a naked Bart to the sign post, the post is embedded directly in the concrete walkway slab, just beside the left corner of the patch of grass. Once Bart is cuffed, the sign post has actually moved down about 4 feet, and is also now embedded directly in the grass at the right corner. In following shots, it's at the left corner of the grass and then right again.

Continuity: There is no circular window on the church from the outside but on the inside there is.

Continuity: When Bart is proving he is sober, Homer is pumping petrol and eating a hotdog. The camera cuts and Homer is eating a hotdog but not pumping petrol like he was a second before.

Continuity: During the Green Day concert, the lyric displaying teleprompter sits onstage beside the mic stand, but then disappears, reappears and disappears again by the time the barge sinks.

Continuity: When Homer circles the dome on the bike, in the first two shots (close-up and wideshot) Homer's left hand is gripping Bart's left wrist, but in all of the following shots it is Homer's right hand that is gripping Bart's left wrist.

Continuity: The Simpsons leave the dome with nothing. However when Marge, Bart and Lisa are in the EPA van, Lisa has now got her sax.

Continuity: When circuling the dome on the bike, it leaves tyre marks. The camera cuts to Bart and the marks have gone.

Continuity: In the cinema, when Homer tells everyone how boring this is, behind Bart, Lisa, Maggie and Marge sits Otto, Kirk van Houten and Barny, but in the next scene behind them sits Otto, Jasper, Kirk van Houten and Moleman.

Continuity: In the scene where Lisa's boyfriend is trying to play "Lisa's song" from the other side of the glass, at first the guitar has an f-hole, and in the next shot of him, it's a solid body guitar.

Continuity: In the motel room, the poster of Alaska is not reflected in the mirror behind Marge. You can only see the little lamps next to the bed.
