Trivia: It's common in Metroid games for Samus to remove her power armor at the end of each game if the player beats the game fast enough or meets certain goals. Even as far back as the original Metroid. With the graphical improvements of the SNES, when coming up with how Samus would look at the end of Super Metroid when shown in a bikini, Nintendo decided to base her looks and face around popular 90s actress Kim Basinger, who was popular and known to most kids from the Batman movie.
