Correction: So, people do work on Saturdays and as we don't know what job Joel does it's quite possible for him to be skipping work on a Saturday.

Dumb and Dumber (1994)

Corrected entry: When Lloyd goes the wrong way, how does Harry suddenly become smart enough to realize "you drove almost a sixth of the way across the country in the wrong direction"? This would take geographic and mathematical intelligence.

Correction: It doesn't take mathematical intelligence; there is no way Lloyd has driven a sixth of the country. It can't have been more than between 300 and 400 miles, which isn't a sixth of the way across the country. It's another example of their lack of intelligence.

Meet the Parents (2000)

Corrected entry: When Stiller spikes the ball, it hits Pam's sister on the top of her head but there is blood coming from her nose.

Correction: It hits her over the eye and the top of the nose, therefore it's quite possible for her to get a nosebleed.

The Jackal (1997)

Corrected entry: If the calibre of the weapon Willis uses is big enough to blow Jack Black's arm off (which it certainly is), how come Sidney Poitier's leg wasn't blown off. I really dont think he would be up and walking so quickly either.

Correction: It's never shown or suggested that he got shot in the leg, it could well have been a piece of shrapnel that hit him, not a bullet.

Titanic (1997)

Corrected entry: As the ship's stern is rising, furniture is seen crashing towards the bow inside the ship. One piece of furniture is a bed, which slides down with the head and base facing the port and starboard sides of the ship. Rose's bed also faced a side of the ship. On the actual Titanic none of the beds in first class faced a side of the ship, they were always facing the bow or the stern. The proof of this can be seen in first class deck and furniture plans. (02:33:20)

Correction: There is no evidence to suggest it is a first class cabin shown. In fact it looks inferior to the standard first class cabins, so I would suggest it's actually second class.

Hollow Man (2000)

Corrected entry: The doctors never cut nostril holes in the mask for Kevin Bacon to breathe. Later on when he puts the mask back on, it DOES have nostril holes.

Correction: There are several scenes between these mistakes. It's entirely possible he did it himself. Wouldn't you?

Corrected entry: When PR Deltoid is speaking to Alex from the bed in his parents' room and drinks out of the cup with dentures in it, I would like to know what those dentures are doing there. Both of his parents had left for work...with their teeth.

Correction: Some people have two sets of false teeth, especially during the 70's when they were not made of material as long lasting as they are now. My grandmother certainly had two sets which she would rotate every day to allow the other pair to clean properly.

Futurama (1999)

Correction: Sense of smell perhaps? It's often said that when people lose a sense, they learn to use the others better.

Leon (1994)

Corrected entry: Twice in the movie Matilda makes Leon cough up the milk he is drinking. Each time it happens the milk disappears off his face after a short cut to Matilda.

Correction: Both times you see him go to wipe it off, it's just the camera cuts away before you see him actually do it.

David Mercier

Corrected entry: Wouldn't the Doc have a problem breathing in the beginning of the movie when the Delorean is backing out of a smoke filled semi-truck? And why is there so much "fog" coming out of the car when the Doc first gets out? (00:18:25)

Ral0618

Correction: Just because there's smoke in the truck it doesn't mean the car is actually full of it. Also, it could well be some form of coolant as we see how hot the car gets, which explains why there is "smoke" there. Plus depending on the type of "smoke" it wouldn't necessarily affect his breathing.

David Mercier

Corrected entry: Maybe it's just me, but has anyone ever actually heard news anchors report the news like they do in this movie? They do not say that a victim was 'impaled through the head with a ladder.' I figure that they can come up with something a little more tactful.

DenizenZERO

Correction: About a week ago I heard a news report about a man who had a crossbow bolt "driven through his skull." If there are no tactful ways to describe what's happened then they normally describe the situation. The press are not as prudish as they used to be.

Love Actually (2003)

Corrected entry: At the end of the movie, the Prime Minister exits through the same access door as all the "common" passengers. For security reasons he should have exited through another door, or, at least, be surrounded by bodyguards everywhere.

Correction: While it is fair to say that the PM has a certain level of security around him at all times, he is one of the few world leaders who still actually mingles with the people - unlike say the President of the USA. Therefore it's not unreasonable for security to appear minimal, because they are keeping their distance on purpose.

City Slickers (1991)

Corrected entry: During the scenes of the cattle drive, Mitch and the boys are riding in the middle of the herd, with the cattle all around them. In reality, cowboys ride around the outside of a herd. Riding in the middle looks good for a movie, but in real life would scatter the cattle in every direction.

Correction: Well they seem to be doing it in the film and the cattle aren't running all over the place. Yes, it may be good practice to go on the outside, but that doesn't mean you always have to.

Amadeus (1984)

Corrected entry: In the beginning, when Salieri first meets Mozart at the archbishop's residence, you hear him in the background saying "that night changed my life", but through the whole scene there is sunlight coming in through the windows.

Correction: During the summertime in Vienna it is often light until 9pm at least. It is also reasonable to say that the entertainments went on into the evening and night, as concerts often do and that he is refering to the day as a whole.

The Frighteners (1996)

Corrected entry: How can Ray (when he is a ghost) be stuck in his own grave covered in dirt if he can go through matter?

Correction: Because as we have seen, the ghosts have to learn how to move though objects (notice when Michael J Fox shuts one half in the door he has trouble getting out) and earlier when Ray fell through the wall without meaning to.

David Mercier

Corrected entry: Mike is seen boarding a GNER train to get from Norwich to London. However GNER runs between London and Edinburgh, going no where near Norwich.

Correction: They certainly go to Norwich, there is a service at least every hour from King's Cross that actually stops there.

Waterloo (1970)

Corrected entry: The British were on the reverse slopes of the ridge all through the battle, to protect them from the French artillery. But when the view of the battlefields is shown from Napoleon's view, he can see the British positions on the forward slope of the ridge.

Correction: Well Wellington has to show some troops. It's like a decoy, he doesn't want Napoleon to see how many he has got, so he hides most of them over the hill. Napoleon even recgonises that this is what he's doing when he ends the line "He is clever."

Commando (1985)

Corrected entry: When Matrix rips out the seat out the the woman's car, he didn't release a latch or anything, so wouldn't there be twisted metal where the seat was? But Matrix just jumps right in. (00:29:20)

Correction: Not necessarily. If he pulled the bolts out of the floor then the seat would come away with very little twisted metal left in the car. If you look at the bottom of the seat when he takes it out, it appears quite neatly done, suggesting there will be no such metal where the seat was.

Commando (1985)

Corrected entry: I think it's funny how Bennett can get zapped by massively high voltage at the end of the movie and still come back punching. (01:23:24)

Correction: If the ampage is low then this is entirely possible. The voltage may be high, but on its own cannot do any serious damage.

Big Fish (2003)

Corrected entry: Young Will has a noticable mole on his left cheek (we see this as he is laying in bed while Edward tells him a story). Adult Will has no mole and no evidence (mark or scar) that it has been removed.

JustJudy

Correction: Moles can be removed without leaving a scar or any other evidence of their existence, and speaking from personal experience I know this to be true.
