Prometheus (2012)

Corrected entry: Shaw found David's head and body in the same place that they'd fallen after the Engineer attacked him. But considering that the entire spaceship had just violently crashed, shouldn't the parts of his body been tossed all over the chamber?

Teru_Kage

Correction: David's head and body were initially on the deck of the big cannon. Shaw later found both on the lower levels. Indicating that they were tossed around. Located near each other is coincidence but not impossible.

Taken 2 (2012)

Corrected entry: Just after Brian realizes he and his ex-wife are about to be kidnapped, he calls Kim and tells her to go and hide in the closet in his room. She is able to get into his room with the key but not able to get into the closet, so she goes into the neighboring hotel room and hides in that closet. Brian later calls Kim and tells her to get the case in the closet - she is able to locate what he is talking about in the closet she is hiding in, even though she is not hiding in his.

Correction: Brian is seen using that same closet earlier on in the film. He rented two rooms side by side.

Prometheus (2012)

Corrected entry: How did the Engineer get from the crashed ship to the lifeboat without a spacesuit and why didn't the "hull breach" cause oxygen to leak when the he tore into the lifeboat?

Correction: The Engineers most likely did not need a suit on that planet, as shown by the free roaming Engineer at the start of the movie. The engineer did not "tear" into the lifeboat. He entered through the door like humans do. Besides the rooms in the Lifeboat are sealed; so oxygen can flow even with any breach in another room.

The Walking Dead (2010)

Guts - S1-E2

Corrected entry: When Rick and members of the group are on the roof top looking for a way out of their situation, you can see a car driving by in the lower portion of the screen.

Correction: Not a mistake. We know that (a) there are many other survivors not shown on screen (b) have operating motor vehicles.

XIII

Corrected entry: When Peter leaves Oscorp tower after the spider bite, he has his skateboard in his arms, after not having it in the entire previous sequence.

Correction: It was most likely confiscated off him by security when he entered the building. They wouldn't want anyone to be riding around inside the building.

XIII

Corrected entry: Optimus Prime says that the spacebridge would have won the Autobots the war. If so, wouldn't make more sense if they would keep it on Cybertron and use it, instead of risking it all by trying to fly it out with The Ark and bring it back later on anyway?

Friso94

Correction: We do not know what they were going to do with the space-bridge to win the war. Why couldn't the Autobots use it elsewhere (another planet for example) in an unknown manner to defeat the Decepticons?

Skyfall (2012)

Plot hole: Silva spent years planning his revenge against M, yet the ability to carry out his plan depended on conditions that were entirely out of his control, such as being captured by MI-6 despite having no way of knowing that Bond was coming for him, and only escaping custody because Q triggers the Trojan - there's no way Silva could predict when that would happen, could have been hours, days, weeks, or never. He then ambushes M at the courthouse despite having no way of knowing that she would be there that day.

Suggested correction: His plan was always to blow a hole in the tube to have a train crash at that location. This would have caused mayhem and take up a lot of resources (police/ambulance/fire). Bond chasing him had no impact on this part of the plan. Then when his team picked him up, his team would have known where M would have been on that day and would have driven him there. With resources on high at the train crash site, it would have made it easier to reach M.

XIII

This aspect is a bit of a plot hole for me too - one of the factors outside Silva's control is when he can escape MI6 custody, which depends on when Q triggers the 'Granborough' Trojan, which Q only spots with a bit of help from Bond. That triggering could have been hours, days, weeks or never - pretty fraught with risk to rely on individual(s) making that happen at a plot-convenient moment... otherwise Silva has a bunch of associates hanging around London for a few days permanently on a few minutes alert for a random event.

Correction: I have just reviewed this scene. Sheldon makes only one movement with his right hand as Howard walks in. Between shots he was able to walk from behind the group to the side. This gives him ample time to move his right hand back down.

Show generally

Corrected entry: The design of the apartment is impossible. Penny's door is directly above the main exit door. We have seen the outside of the apartment and there is no overhang to accommodate all the apartments on the left side.

kristenlouise3

Correction: Not exactly true. Using scenes from S03E20 - The Spaghetti Catalyst as a reference. Penny's door is flush against the stairwell. Scenes from inside the building downstairs, shows the main door is a distance away from the stairwell (lets say 8-9 feet). During a scene from outside, we can see that there is an external part of the building outside. The outside wall of the plant trough is at least 6 feet away from the door. This equates to about 15 feet for the width of Penny's apartment.

Jet Lag - S7-E13

Corrected entry: While Tony, Ziva and their witness are on the plane viewing Tony's Paris photos, a man (a steward?) walks across the scene (in the background). He is walking across the width of the plane, looking down the aisle, at a normal walking pace that would smack him into The Wall three feet in front of him. It's apparent that there must be an opening in that wall he's aiming for, as there would be on a set.

DavidRTurner

Correction: This mistake entry uses the assumption that the person continues walking. Personally, I can stop walking within one step even when I am looking down. I can't see why this person can't do the same.

XIII

Corrected entry: In the shot where Good Rain is driving the car and saying "Those things aren't people", you can see her turning the steering wheel. The car isn't moving, indicating the background is just a green screen.

Correction: Do you mean the car doesn't appear to be turning? Because it is very clear the car is moving. Those scenes are shown from the sides of the car. In addition, she barely turns the steering vehicle. If her right hand is positioned at 3 o'clock she barely moves it to 4 o'clock. Given these factors, it would be difficult to tell if the car is moving side to side.

Battleship (2012)

Corrected entry: The physio leaves at 9am to take the amputee soldier on a hike, shortly afterwards the alien ships hit Hong Kong and Hawaii, but it's daylight in both places. It would be approx 3am the following day in Hong Kong.

Correction: The assumption here is that "a short time later" equates to almost immediately. It would take some time for the two of them to get out there, up in the hills. We (the viewers) are never given an indication on time of day it is. So if we allow for just a few hours, as little as 3-4hrs. It could be daytime in both countries.

Show generally

Corrected entry: In the opening song, one line is 'Autotrophs began to drool'. In fact, Autotrophs are self feeding organisms like plants, not animals, and so therefore cannot drool.

elephant2541

Correction: Autotrophs are in fact plants. Trees are the most common form of "plant". Trees seep. The Maple Leaf tree has been known to seep water, which, poetically, is drooling.

Star Trek (2009)

Corrected entry: Sulu and Kirk are fighting on the drilling platform. Sulu claims to be trained in fencing, but does not use any real fencing moves or tactics.

Correction: Fencing tactics would not have helped him in this situation. Since the bad guy is using "brawling" fight tactics, fencing moves and tactics are out the window.

XIII

The Contingency - S2-E1

Corrected entry: Mr. Reese explains the Aryan Nation men that the dog only responds to commands given in Dutch. Yet he gives the dog commands in German.

Correction: Dutch is very similar to some variations of German (especially West Germany). The words Reese used must be similar in both Dutch and German.

XIII

Corrected entry: When Mutt is trying to pull Indy out of the sand pit, Indy tells him to get a rope. Indy had his whip, all he had to do was get it off his hip and throw it to Mutt. I know it would've ruined a good joke, but Indy is known for using his whip to get him out of trouble and therefore would've thought of that, even panicked as he was.

Correction: Indy would have known that when caught in quicksand, you should stay still and not make any sudden movements. Reaching down for his whip, then reaching up and throwing an end of the whip would increase his rate of sinking.

XIII

Corrected entry: Towards the end of the movie the bald girl (Skynet) explains everything to Marcus. How he is programmed to infiltrate the resistance and ultimately bring John Connor to the Skynet base. As a result of her story, Marcus rips out the chip and eventually saves John Connor and helps destroying the base. As I interpret it, that scene is only there to explain Skynet's master plan to the movie audience. If Skynet is smart enough to predict everything so far, it should be smart enough to realize Marcus might intervene. There is no logical reason why Skynet would jeopardize everything at this point.

Correction: The Marcus program achieved its primary goal by getting John Connor to the base. Like most software programs, it stops after reaching is goal. Skynet never really programmed Marcus beyond this point. There is no way a software program can plan for the unlimited number of scenarios that can happen beyond this point. Besides, they wanted the Marcus program to act as human as possible.

Taken 2 (2012)

Corrected entry: Kim was asked to draw a circle of diameter 3km. The diameter of circle she drew is not 3km. The length of thread is ~3km, but the thread is not parallel to the ground, so the actual diameter might be something like 1.5 or 2, depending on the angle. (00:44:55 - 00:45:55)

karnatiharish

Correction: We can see that the length of shoelace is not even half of the whole length. We never see the scale when she measures out the 3km so we don't know how long 3km is in scale of the map. The 4.5km circle she draws uses more length, is larger, and fits in scale in reference to the 3km circle.

Taken 2 (2012)

Corrected entry: After Kim comes out of the closet, and has drawn the circles, Kim and Brian finish talking on the phone. Brian hangs up and drops the phone, and you can hear Kim say dad while the camera is still on him. (00:44:20)

Correction: She says "dad" twice, once while she is on screen and the other while the phone is on the ground and you can hear that the call is still connected. As he drags it with his foot you can hear the call disconnecting. This could have been Kim or Brian.

XIII

Correction: Not to the absolute literal sense. She was raised doing male/boy hobbies and interests but that doesn't mean she always looked like a boy.

XIII

Many flashbacks including her with her father have included short hair.
