Across whole show

Almost all the taxi cabs used across the show have the code 9Z72 on top. Obviously it is the same cab they use for every episode, they don't even bother changing the sign. [In most of the episodes, it's the same cab. The cab driver (and limo driver in one episode), Ranjit, is a recurring character.]

Life Among the Gorillas (series 1)

When Barney is talking to Marshall in the bar you can see Victoria behind Marshall's head, although she should have gone to Germany. [After just watching the episode, Victoria is nowhere to be seen. There is a waitress that kind of looks like her, but you never see her whole face, and it's definitely not Victoria.]

Sweet Taste of Liberty (series 1)

After learning that the guy who he thought was hitting on Lily is gay, Marshall says "I've never been in a fight". However, in Season 4, "The Fight", he states that he has been in plenty of fights with his brothers. [People have different definitions of what actually constitutes a "fight." He could consider those times with his brothers just "messing around." And the one punch to Doug also wouldn't be considered a fight.]

Arrivederci, Fiero (series 2)

In this episode we learn that Barney doesn't know how to drive. But throughout the whole series there are reference that he actually does, such as: In 'Come On' (22th episode 1st season): Penelope says to Barney: "We had sex twice in your car." In 'Moving Day' (18th episode 2nd season): Barney drives away with Ted's rental van. In 'The Bracket' (14th episode 3rd season): Barney stole Holly's SUV as they were camping. [This episode is a flashback, so it is perfectly plausible that Barney would have learned to drive before all the other events happened later in time.]

World's Greatest Couple (series 2)

Ted and Robin are surprised by the size and layout of Lily's new apartment, despite having seen the apartment with her when she was house hunting in episode 2 of this season's "The Scorpion and the Toad". [They saw it very briefly. Once Lily saw the condition of the room, she couldn't get out of there fast enough.]

Miracles (series 3)

Right before Barney gets hit by the bus, he's on the sidewalk. To the right there is a One Way sign pointing right, but the bus hits him driving left. The bus would have been driving the wrong way on a one way street. [Not only is this not a mistake (it wouldn't be the first vehicle going the wrong way down a one way street), but we even see Barney looking in the direction of where the vehicles should be coming from and assume himself to be safe. Had the bus not been going the wrong way, Barney would have seen it coming and not been hit.]

Rebound Bro (series 3)

When Stella comes to apologize, Ted says, "This is awkward, I have a girl here." Stella hits him and they kiss. Although they only kiss twice, you can hear three kisses. During the last one, their lips are not even touching. [The third noise is not the noise of a kiss. If you look at Stella's mouth after they kiss, you will see that she is making the noise with her mouth.]

The Bracket (series 3)

The mystery woman warns Lily to stay away from Barney Stinson. When they go visit Anna, the second woman on the bracket, Barney reminds Lily that she thinks he's Ted Mosby. That would remove her as a candidate right away since Lily was warned to stay away from Barney, not Ted. [Put it down as a character mistake or as deliberate mistake by Barney. Barney wanted to include all women he "dated". Given the fact that he is only revealing this when he is with Lily suggests he did not disclose this with the group when telling her back story to help the group make a decision.]

Little Minnesota (series 4)

There are two problems with the scene in which Heather enters the store with the briefcase. One is debatable, but one is not. All stores, for safety reasons (most notably, if a fire were to break out) should have doors that open outwards, away from the store. It's a law in most areas of the US. The other thing is that Ted says, "That's a "push," not a "pull."" That means that she attempted to pull it, but if it were a "push" door, there would be no handle to pull, meaning there is nothing there for anyone to pull on. [No they are both debatable. There is nothing wrong with having handles on both sides of the door. No mistake here. As for the 'safety' concern. You said 'most areas' of the USA have this rule. Can you tell me that every store in NYC abides by this rule? I would imagine there would be a lot of stores that don't, this store for example. No mistake here.]
