Visible crew/equipment: After the three people at the restaurant patio are shot it cuts to the black screen, and in the next shot as the camera pans over the blood stained table, the red T-mark is visible on the ground in front of Gideon's feet. (00:13:15)

Continuity mistake: When Garcia accesses the bank's page online Prentiss gives her the account number login, 1552 9384 6729, and we see Garcia typing it correctly on the screen with the password, but when it cuts to the account's page showing deposit and balance, we see in the balance box the account number's last four digits are 7629, not 6729.

Continuity mistake: While Reid's asleep in the hospital bed, Garcia places four Doctor Who figurines (one Dalek we don't see her place) on the overbed table - two Daleks, Matt Smith's Doctor, and David Tennant's Doctor. In the first shot Garcia's holding Smith's Doctor in her right hand and Tennant's Doctor in her left hand, but in the next shot those two figurines have switched hands.

Visible crew/equipment: After the press conference, while Emily, Rossi, and Derek are standing beside the SUV, when Captain Lancaster walks over to them we can see the four chalk T-marks on the ground where they all stand.

Visible crew/equipment: After Prentiss and Morgan catch Eric and his girlfriend in the park it cuts to Prentiss and the girlfriend in the interrogation room, and as the camera tracks backward from the door's window we can see a nice reflection of the moving camera and also a crew member standing behind Hotchner.

Continuity mistake: When Rossi is in Zoe's bedroom the camera pans the room and we see the laptop on the desk with nothing on its lid, but in the closeup suddenly there's a large embroidered flower sticker on the laptop's lid, which vanishes again when Rossi lifts the lid.

Visible crew/equipment: When James Charles, the guidance counselor, says, "It could be someone you know, or it could be a stranger you pass at the grocery store," the actors' red T-marks are visible on the floor at Reid's and Gideon's feet. Then when Charles continues to say, "gathering information on the case," we can also see the actor's white T-mark beside the counselor's feet, where he will stand after he introduces Gideon.

Continuity mistake: While Morgan and Prentiss are at the crime scene talking to the homeless man, when Morgan moves the tent and finds the text written on the wall, the homeless man smudges the text with his fingers, but when Morgan sends a photo of the evidence the smudges and text differ.

Visible crew/equipment: When JJ and Derek get to the bar to talk to Harris Townsend, while they're still outside in the parking lot, right after Derek tells JJ not to turn her back on the door, the reflection of the moving camera can be seen on the pickup's back window as they walk to the door.

Visible crew/equipment: When the trailer park manager leads Rossi and Reid to Goehring's trailer, right after he tells Reid, "Piece of advice, pipe cleaner, way you're wearin' that gun...beggin' someone to take it off you," the cameraman and camera cast shadows on Reid as he walks by the camera.

Other mistake: While Hotchner and Reid are talking about Hollow Man and the Mill Creek Killer, Reid's going through the newspapers and when he figures out that the two killers have been talking to each other via the classifieds, there are two closeups of an ad's text. After Hotchner suggests using their relationship against them, Hotch says that Reid's fake ad will imitate Hollow Man's language patterns to send a message to the Mill Creek Killer. Then we hear Reid reading the fake ad they just placed in the classifieds, but the problem is it's the same ad that was shown in the closeups earlier, plus an additional line at the end - "here's my gift to you."

Continuity mistake: In the elderly victim's home, when Gideon is going through the dresser drawers he finds the small frame with the picture of her son, and there is a blue frame lying in the drawer, but in the next shot that blue frame is lying on the dresser even though he never touched it.

Visible crew/equipment: When Hotchner, Callahan, JJ, and Rossi surround Frank's car on the private property, just after Callahan sees the leg on the seat, when she opens the passenger side door the reflection of the standing male cameraman/crew member is visible on the surface of the car, between the windows.

Other mistake: At the start, it's nighttime when the unsub hides in the house of the soon-to-be victim who goes to sleep when her alarm clock reads 'Tue 11:06', and then we see the time morph to 'Tue 1:13' when the victim is sound asleep, before the unsub comes out of the closet to kill her. However, the time on the clock should actually read 'Wed 1:13'.

Other mistake: At the start, the soon-to-be victim gets off the A train at Spring Street (subway heads south, then Bklyn/Queens) and stands on the west-side platform, facing the southern subway exit, then the unsub comes up from behind him, shoots him and he falls toward the same way that the unsub walks - the southern exit. However, when Hotchner plays the NYPD's surveillance footage, the victim is facing the northern subway exit when the unsub comes up from behind him, shoots, and he falls toward the same way that the unsub walks - this time the northern subway exit. Interestingly, neither are flipped shots since we can see "Spring St" correctly. Later, when Prentiss reviews footage it's as it was shown originally.

Trivia: Rick Dunkle, a Criminal Minds producer, writer, and script coordinator, has a cameo as Jonathan, the dead driver in the car that was hit by the tractor trailer, at the start of the episode. *Spoiler* Dunkle, who is a fan of Star Trek: The Next Generation, thought it would be cool to be killed by 'Wesley Crusher' who's played by Wil Wheaton, and who guest stars in this episode.

Character mistake: When Morgan looks up Charlie Luvet's car GPS map history, the last address reads "11257 Palmdale Drive," but when Morgan phones Hotchner with the address he says, "11257 Palm Drive."

Other mistake: When Garcia tracks down Peter Redding's current address, we see a close-up of Garcia's computer screen and the address reads "12859 Beckler Ln.," but when the BAU and police arrive at Peter's house the number is 4433.

Other mistake: When Prentiss and Morgan are trying to figure out how the victims were controlled, Prentiss phones Garcia to find a drug that would temporarily paralyze or subdue. Then just as we hear Garcia answering the call, there's a close-up of Garcia's computer screen and we see the picture of five suicide notes, and at this point there have been six victims. Then later, after the seventh victim is found, when Morgan holds the latest suicide note in the close-up, we can see it's the same note that's already been shown.
