Blankman (1994)

Question: Arsenio Hall is credited for starring in this film. When does he appear and what character does he play? I have seen this movie multiple times and don't recall ever seeing him in it.

Carl Missouri

Chosen answer: He filmed a fake episode of his talk show for the film. You can see Kevin watching it (it has superheroes Gay Man and Midget Man).

Question: Was the storyline with Brenda based on actual or similar events of the real Frank Jr's life, or was it just added to show that Frank could never commit to a relationship while he was on the run, whether he wanted to or not?

Answer: The character of Brenda was based loosely on a stewardess he dated for a short time and who encouraged him to become a lawyer (he told her he went to Harvard Law School). They were never engaged.

Answer: A person generally spits up blood from internal injuries to the lungs, sometimes the stomach. Kirby was stabbed below both organs.

Question: Right before the swimsuit portion, Vic puts some "enhancements" in Gracie's bikini top. When she goes out on stage the crowd cheers loudly then Morningside gets mad hits Vic on the side of his head. Does that mean Gracie was the only one who secretly used an enhancement and Morningside knew?

Answer: She smacked him because Gracie looked silly smiling out there. Every time she messed up, she looked worse and she had to be in the top 5.

Ocean's Eleven (2001)

Question: When the 2 brothers leave the elevator with the cart with Yen in it, the camera zooms in on the waiter's uniform on the floor. Why? Someone asked before 'wouldn't Benedict have seen them change in the elevator'. What I want to know, is why would they leave evidence in the elevator and it never be revisited for the rest of the movie? Seems very strange. Could a part of the movie be missing?

parabri

Chosen answer: They leave the stuff there because there is no other place to put it - they can't be seen with it and Yen is in the cart. And Livingston already had control over the security cameras. He would just have to turn them to video while they were in the elevator.

The Fifth Element (1997)

Question: What happened to the Mondoshawan trapped inside the temple at the beginning of the film? When we see the temple again towards the end of the film it isn't there anymore. Did it get out? If so, how?

THGhost

Chosen answer: The Mondoshawan died. It was moved out of the temple room by David while he was preparing for the arrival of the heroes.

Answer: The opening scene happens 300 years before our heroes and story line kicks in, as it tells us on screen when we switch the 'present'. So, it stands to reason that the large metal bodies were removed or collected by the Priesthood of that time, and maybe a few after - did you see the size of those things? Plus there were a lot of them. It does seem to imply their death, the heroic sacrifice for life. But I've never fully bought that. The big metal beastie gives the priest the key, which the 'present' priest 300 yrs later has. I'm sure the first priest and his buddies (or a posse of Egyptian child labor candidates) pried that door open and got them out. Dead or alive. There's no way that skinny, awkward, priest kid in training would have been able to clean all that up on his own. Nor do I think they would have just left the big mess of dead aliens for 300yrs.

The Nanny (1993)

The Producers (1) - S6-E16

Question: At the beginning of the episode, I've never got what Niles meant to this question by Fran. Does this mean he always liked C.C. or maybe that, but didn't know it? "Are you telling me all those years you put dishwasher water in her coffee, you changed her lip balm for glue stick and called her a COW you were FLIRTING?!" "What, no good?"

*BleuFever

Chosen answer: Fran is still incredulous at the idea of Niles being in love with C.C. Niles' response is his typical sarcasm.

Aeon Flux (2005)

Question: Is the cloning their explanation for why, in the series, Aeon Flux died in every episode? If not, I'd say she's Kenny McCormick's descendant.

dizzyd

Chosen answer: Although the scenario does happen in the episode "A Last Time for Everything", this is not the case. The creators intentionally left the series without a direct continuity as a satire of the action genre.

Question: Was Smith being "set free" also part of the architects plan? What were the other choices for the other "chosen ones"? How are the 23 chosen, and are they given the tools to build Zion? Do they wake up in a Zion? I don't get that.

Zema

Chosen answer: No. Return to the Source or return to the Matrix. The One chooses them and yes. They are woken by the One (like Neo was by Morpheus) and taken to Zion.

Minority Report (2002)

Question: I have three unrelated questions: 1. My comments are in parentheses. John Anderton: Why'd you catch that? Danny Witwer: Because it was going to fall. (No, it wasn't) John Anderton: You're certain? Danny Witwer: Yeah. John Anderton: But it didn't fall. You caught it. The fact that you prevented it from happening doesn't change the fact that it was *going* to happen. (Yes, it does, doesn't it?) That was my first question - I hope that you didn't mind the format. Also, don't hold back on the philosophy - I'm well-versed in it. 2. Since Crowe didn't kill John's boy, who did? If we didn't find out, are there even any theories? 3. This one's about the adulterers and the fact that they weren't arrested. Isn't it more likely that, in the future (esp. one like this, which, in my opinion, was at least semi-totalitarian) there would be more laws (specifically about adultery) rather than less, especially considering that even now there are some laws that apply to adultery?

Answer: 1. By the laws of physics, the ball would have fallen to the ground had Witwer not caught it. 2. We don't know who kidnapped John's child. 3. Obviously not.

X-Men 3 (2006)

Question: I have three questions about the lake scene. One: When Cyclops fires his lasers, he falls to the ground afterwards. Is that draining his life or something? Two: When Cyclops kisses Jean, how come his face was wavy? Three: Does anyone know why Jean is knocked out when Wolverine and Storm found her? Or why mist is everywhere and everything is floating?

M0vi3

Chosen answer: 1 - Cyclops fell to the ground because he was in psychological pain from being in the place where he lost the woman he loved. 2 - His face was wavy because it was being disrupted by her telekinesis, the same way he eventually died. 3 - She was knocked out because her power overwhelmed her. The strange things going on are because she can no longer control her powers.

Saw (2004)

Question: When Lawrence is going crazy, he tries to reach the ringing phone using the box he found it in. When this fails, it motivates him to saw through his foot. Since the box was just out of reach, why didn't he pull the phone towards him using the saw (just like Adam tried at the beginning of the movie, with the cassette player)? This couldn't possibly have failed, though. If he had, he could have answered the phone and probably gotten help that way. It would have saved him a lot of trouble and pain. Someone please enlighten me.

Eyexpress333

Chosen answer: First, it's because he was very distraught. Simply reaching the phone wasn't going to help him help his wife. Second, because it was the major plot point the entire movie has been building up to.

LorgSkyegon

Answer: You said it yourself: he's going crazy. He had been sitting in that room for 8 hours, being mentally tortured. If finally comes to a point where he hears his wife and child in torment, along with gunshots. At this point he was simply not thinking and in his state, sawing off his foot was the quickest way to either get to the phone, or get to the gun to kill Adam.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Question: When Lex reboots the phones and Grant rings the bunker, how does Hammond immediately know it was Grant? Wouldn't it be more likely it was Ellie on the phone, or even Arnold?

eldeem

Chosen answer: He was hoping it was Grant. He didn't want it to be Arnold or Ellie, who went to reset the breakers. He wanted it to be Grant - the one who was taking care of his grandchildren. He wanted to know they were OK.
