Question: What's having with the DVD releases of this film and the original? I've heard numerous reports that there are going to be special editions of both DVD's released soon, so I'm loathe to buy the feature-light ones that are out at the moment, but so far nothing has been announced. Also, is there going to be a box set released? Lastly, is the version that Tarantino screened at a recent film festival (both volumes edited together into one movie) ever going to be released?
Answer: I recently heard talk on a reliable website that a Kill Bill Special edition was going to be released later this year and that an announcement should be made soon but nothing more definite than that. The main reason for the long delay was that Tarantino wanted to re-edit the two films together to make the one film (as you mentioned) and then have it re-released. As for what the special edition will contain or even if it will be released as one film is anyone's guess at this point.

General questions
Can you give some examples of other films with deliberate 'additions' to them? For example the 'ghost' in Three Men and a baby. Do the film makers put these in to encourage people to buy or watch the film or are they genuine mistakes?
Chosen answer: The ghost in Three Men wasn't actually a deliberate addition, more rumour than an addition. An example of a supposed addition was a munchkin that had supposedly commited suicide on the Wizard of Oz set and was captured on screen. Many of these high profiled additions are not usually put into films. Most who claim they have stumbled upon something of great interest will generally make something out of what is usually nothing there (like the Virgin Mary in the cheese sandwich). Much like how many people claim to hear and see things in many Disney films. Filmmakers sometimes put little fun additions in their films like visual items or using lines from previous films. However its not their main priority, as I said most of these additions are just coincidence. For more rumours or supposed additions www.snopes.com is a great site for urban legends.

Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997)
Question: Is there any story as to why the overall quality of this production was much less than the first Mortal Kombat? For example, the computer-animated creatures and morph effects seemed much worse than the first movies, and certainly worse than any other movie of the year. Also, the costumes and sets were of a lower quality than the first movie. Everything seemed to be a step down from Mortal Kombat 1. You would think that the sequel would have a bigger budget, but it seemed just the opposite with this movie.
Answer: Mortal Kombat 2 was given a budget around the same as the first one probably indicating that New Line (makers of the film) were not convinced the film would not be as much an success as the original was. The buget of 30 million is not too high of a risk for a major film studio. The original was more built on the novelty of the video game and the interest of how it would translate to the screen so a sequel was always going to be tough. While it's hard to find out why the quality was unimpressive, this can just be more from different film crews from the first or just tougher f/x to try and create for the film in the time available. Take The Mummy Returns for example. The Scorpion King near the end looked far too computer generated. This was despite a massive budget and impressive CGI for both films.
Answer: From what I've gathered about the film, the entire production was rushed by the studio and producers, as they wanted to capitalize on the first film's success. Pre-production was troubled at best. Funds weren't allocated to the right places. The film was often being re-written on the fly on set, so large chunks of the movie were being changed at the last minute. It also had a first-time director at the helm who supposedly had a very bad time making the movie due to how hectic it was. And finally, the studio forced them to release the film before it was completely finished, hence the effects and editing were never finalized. So basically, it was a perfect storm of a rushed production without a finished script, an overwhelmed first-time director, and a studio that wouldn't let the producers properly "complete" the movie. Hence, the entire film was a complete mess and was very low-quality.

Question: I'm a little slow on drug slang, so is the drug on the boat cocaine or marijuana? I'm pretty sure it's cocaine as 91,000,000 dollars of marijuana sounds a bit ludicrous, but it's referred to by Kujan as Dope, which in the UK means pot/marijuana. Could someone correct my slang and tell me what is on the boat?
Answer: In US police parlance, particularly for the era of the film and the age of the DEA agent in the film, any kind of drug, including marijuana, cocaine, heroin, barbiturates and LSD were referred to as "dope".

Question: In the answer to another question, this DVD was supposed to be coming out on September 6th. But I still can't find it at my local video store. Is my town just to small to have bothered ordering it in (I live way out in the sticks) or is it not being released for general hire in Australia? Chosen answer: There has been no mention from Disney (Studio who makes Scrubs) when the first season is to hit DVD shelves. Zach Braff's website had put the release as early 2005 but many believe it will be released in the US around Spring 2005 (I believe that would make it around May or June).

Question: In the scene where Max shoots Vincent in the building, where does Vince get hit? Blood came out which I would assume would be the throat, but that would have killed him, or is this just a mistake?
Answer: I believe the shot hit him in the right cheek as that is where most of the blood is. I think it more grazed the cheek, as Vincent can't really talk when he is first shot but on the train can talk a bit more easily.

Question: Can someone please explain the big twist at the end of the film?
Answer: Clooney and the gang actually stole the Faberge Egg before Francois Tolour. Clooney and Pitt went to see the thief La Marque who informed them the egg in the heavily secured truck was actually a fake. The real egg was the one on the train with the very low security. In exchange for the information, they must give La Marque the egg (as he had put it back many years ago when he tried to steal it because his wife told him to put it back) and his long lost daughter (Catherine Zeta Jones). In regards to Tolour he stole a fake egg despite the amazing burglary, and at the end we see him in disguise probably trying to steal the money back he lost in the bet.

Question: Was there supposed to be some more of the scene between Carter and Susan after she had killed the third shark?
Answer: I assume you are referring to the scene after Susan killed the second shark (she was killed before the third shark was killed). The comments LL makes to finish that scene do seem a little out of place with what they were talking about but the film does have a number of scenes cut out. Most of the deleted scenes on the DVD deal with character development and dialogue but there is no evidence the scene was cut as the DVD's deleted scenes dont have any extra footage on that scene or alternate dialogue.
Answer: Yes, Susan and Carter actually share a kiss in the original ending. They grew smitten with one another in unreleased deleted scenes leading up to it. The kiss is interrupted by Sherman "Preacher" Dudley clearing his throat, who's still recovering from his wounds. This, of course, was part of the unreleased original ending that was changed at the last minute due to test audiences wanting Susan to die. The footage was never released but there are stills from said kiss and this was how it was scripted to end. Fans started a petition on the Change site asking Warner to release the original ending and even Thomas Jane is promoting it on his Instagram account. But as of now, the ending has yet to be released.

There is a movie about someone who has to marry by a certain day in order to inherit lots of money. He ends up falling in love, and at the end of the movie, doesn't marry the woman in order to prove he loves her and isn't marrying her just for the money. But the next morning, she reveals that she is actually a millionaire. It's not, repeat NOT, "The Bachelor", starring Chris O'Donnell. Anyone know the title of the movie?
Answer: I believe the movie you are talking about is the Buster Keaton film "Seven Chances". The premise of the film is he has to meet a woman and marry her by 7pm.

Question: Where could one obtain recordings of USA's 1980 Olympic hockey games in their entirety?
Chosen answer: You probably wont ever be able to get all the games in their entirety. The biggest obstacle with recorded events and games from the Olympics is the high price of licensing them so its near impossible to obtain entire matches on DVD or VHS and in many cases catching replays of the full game in the future. Many sports channels on cable tv will be your best bet including the US channel ESPN Classic. If you were looking for something to buy the closest you will probably get is a DVD or VHS called "Do You Believe in Miracles? The Story of the 1980 U.S. Hockey Team (2001)".

Question: Is there any specific reason for Jason Statham's cameo at the start of the film as the man who gives Tom Cruise the briefcase?
Answer: There doesn't seem to be any reason as for Statham's cameo, however one theory comes to mind. A number of years before Statham started starring in Hollywood films, he made his break in the hit low budget "Lock, Stock and two Smoking Barrels". Apparently Tom Cruise was one of the major Hollywood people who loved the film and was keen to do an American remake of the film. Possibly he wanted to try and work with him and the cameo was a perfect opportunity. Playing a "Transporter" of sorts would seem an apt role.

Answer: Why not tie up him and put him in a ditch? There's a million things he could have done. One reason he just made him walk away blindfolded was to scare him into thinking he was going to be executed. Its not really shown whether they even had handcuffs, so it's hard to determine if they could have done something like that. Their main concern was with the mission, not what would happen to him. Last thing with letting him go, Miller could have been shot by any one of those German soldiers so it's more just ironic that he killed him.
