Revealing mistake: When the police car is set on fire you see from the top that the flames start at three different spots, hood, roof, and trunk. Then, when the three vans drive off there's a shot from inside the police car where you don't see any fire. (00:32:45)

Fort Apache (1948)

Revealing mistake: Before the first encounter with the Apache, O'Rourke Jr. is looking out for Indians hiding behind a trunk. When he is being shot at and two bullets hit the trunk you see tiny volcanos erupt which obviously have been filled with explosives. (00:57:00)

Gods and Monsters (1998)

Revealing mistake: After Whale compliments Clayton for the marvellous shape of his head, Clayton pulls faces at himself in the side mirror of his pick-up before he drives off. Considering that the camera is positioned at hip level and we see his face in the mirror he couldn't actually see himself. (00:24:40)

Gangs of New York (2002)

Revealing mistake: When Bill gets shot at the theater blood gushes in quantities that could only come from a main artery. His obvious fitness in the following sequences speaks against it, though. (01:13:40)

Gangs of New York (2002)

Revealing mistake: When Amsterdam meets Bill for the first time as an adult Bill is playing Whist. Because he is pissed with a guy whose bet isn't high enough he pulls his knife and pins the man's hand to the table. When he does so the hand isn't anywhere near the point where the knife goes in, and when Bill pulls out the knife again you see that it was stuck in the table and the man's hand was resting next to it. Gangs of New York (2002)

Revealing mistake: In the middle of the battle of Five Points Monk swings his club horizontally at shoulder level, but the swing ends on a victim's ankle. When the bones break it's very obvious that it's a prop. (00:09:15)

Gangs of New York (2002)

Revealing mistake: In the battle of The Five Points, there are at least two instances where you see "blood" splattered over the lens. (00:09:35)

Gangs of New York (2002)

Revealing mistake: In the beginning of the Five Points battle it happens very often that people get hit badly with a sharp weapon but don't receive any wound. Watch for example in slow-motion how Bill sets out to mow down victim after victim with his cleaver. Later into the fight it becomes a lot bloodier, and sometimes the blood seems to come out of the weapon (e.g Monk's club seems to have a generous blood reservoir). (00:08:15)

Malèna (2000)

Revealing mistake: In one of Renato's fantasies about Malena she comes into his dark bedroom. The light is falling into the room from the hallway, but when she walks through the room she casts a second shadow created by a stage light. (00:16:20)

Revealing mistake: Jack executes Maldic, who is sitting in a Taxi, by shooting at him about a dozen times. While there is blood all over the taxi Maldic doesn't suffer any visible injury. (00:51:25)

Revealing mistake: When Jack breaks into the Albert Dock Road building where the hijackers have their hideout, he enters through a wire-mesh-reinforced roof window. From below you see that he hits it once, causing a huge shower of big glass pieces (as if there were no wire mesh), and then the whole, almost intact pane comes down as if the mesh hadn't been connected to the frame. (00:29:55)

Revealing mistake: When one of the hijackers shoots at the truck that pulls the gangway with the police marksmen, the windshield cracks all over at the first shot but there is no hole. However, a big splash of blood hits the glass from the inside. The second shot makes a big hole in the windshield on the passenger's side, but the broken glass falls on the hood, against the momentum of the bullet. (00:14:55)

Easy Rider (1969)

Revealing mistake: When Wyatt, Billy, and the stranger they had just picked up are sitting at the campfire their shadows on the rock are not in any proper projection from the fire, plus, they are totally still. (00:22:10)

Revealing mistake: When the village where Pran is hiding as a servant is bombed, you see a lot of stuntmen performing elegant jumps as if they were doing gymnastics, some long after the impact of the bomb would have hit them. (01:56:50)

Revealing mistake: Shortly after Sydney arrives at Pnom Penh he sits at a street cafe with Al Rockoff, the photographer. When a bomb explodes on the other side of the street they seem to be engulfed by flames, but when the camera cuts to the place where the bomb went off it's burning like a small log fire, and all people in between don't seem to be harmed by the fire ball in any way. Rapa Nui (1994)

Revealing mistake: The volcano backdrop is rather coarsely painted, thus quite a contrast to the many other impressive landscape shots. (00:28:55)
