Yu-Gi-Oh! GX (2004)

Tag Team Trial: Part 2 - S1-E11

Stupidity: After Jaden summons EH Tempest, he also activates the field spell Skyscraper. This means that Tempest gains 1000 attack points (going from 2800 to 3800) when it attacks Dark Guardian (whose attack points are 3800). Since Dark Guardian can't be destroyed by battle, Jaden sacrifices a card to keep Tempest on the field. What was Jaden expecting? He already knew about Dark Guardian's effect, and there would've been no life point damage, so this attack wouldn't have benefited him in any way.

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX (2004)

Tag Team Trial: Part 2 - S1-E11

Stupidity: After Jaden summons Elemental Hero Sparkman to the field, he also activates the spell card Spark Blaster, which he equips to Sparkman so that it can change any monster on the field in attack mode to defence mode. He decides to switch Gate Guardian to defence mode, however, he could have also switched Defence Wall to attack mode as well. Then he would've been able to have Sparkman attack Defence Wall, and it would have been destroyed since it has 0 attack points.

Doctor Who (2005)

The Power of the Doctor - S13-E9

Stupidity: When Yaz finds the huge Dalek drill, she starts saying everything she is thinking aloud, commenting "They're already here. Seismology. Volcanoes. Daleks, and the Master. This is not good news." There is absolutely no reason for her to say this out loud, considering that she is completely alone and saying this could've risked her getting caught.

The Power of the Doctor - S13-E9

Stupidity: While on the Cyber planet in 1916, the Doctor receives a call from Kate Stewart telling her to come to Unit HQ in 2022 immediately, prompting her to then reluctantly ditch all her problems she's currently dealing with, to go to Unit. The TARDIS literally has all the time in the universe, so even if she waited a really long time, the problems in 2022 would still be there, so there was no need for her to change plans so abruptly.

Doctor Who (2005)

The Power of the Doctor - S13-E9

Stupidity: After the crew of the space train have taken out the Cybermen, the Cybermen begin regenerating, which one of the crew points out. This guy seems to be aware of how regeneration works, but doesn't shoot at them again. In the series, it has been shown that shooting someone during a regeneration cycle will kill them instantly, but this idea is never considered.

Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)

Part II - S1-E2

Stupidity: Whilst Reva is running across the rooftops, there is a moment where she does a backflip in order to propel her forwards towards the next rooftop. If she was attempting to jump between roofs, then doing a backflip would not have been useful as it would only slow down her momentum instead of build it. (00:25:28)

Welcome to Hotel del Luna - S1-E1

Stupidity: The Mayor realises that Man-wol has approached him and taken out her rifle to shoot him with. Yet during the entire time she takes to aim the rifle at him and fire, the Mayor makes no attempt to flee the stage for his own protection. (00:38:15)

Mr. Sunshine (2018)

Episode #1.7 - S1-E7

Stupidity: When Eugene approaches Tsuda after Tsuda is shot by Ae-sin, Tsuda attempts to shoot him, but after pulling the trigger, he realises there are no bullets in the gun. Seconds later, a group of soldiers run up to him, and he attempts to shoot them, but he can't because the gun is still not loaded. Something he should have known since he only just attempted to shoot Eugene and failed because of it. (00:50:00 - 00:50:30)

The Whole World Is Watching - S1-E4

Stupidity: The Dora Milaje arrive to take Zemo. John calmly attempts to talk them down, but it leads to a huge fight when he puts his hand on Ayo's shoulder. There are multiple instances during this fight where they totally would have stabbed John and Lamar with their spears, and are only stopped because Sam and Bucky intervene. While it's understandable they would want to obtain Zemo, attempting to kill two people to do so is completely out-of-character and goes against all of their morals and principles.

Suggested correction: I watched the scene and I never saw any of them try to straight up murder anyone. They were very skilled and precise in their attacks (for example, pinning John) and wouldn't have murdered anyone.

Bishop73

Here's a link to the scene (https://youtu.be/cpUq-kYMPkc). I counted three times when they almost kill them. First, after Ayo knocks John to the ground after he puts his hand on her shoulder, she attempts to stab him with her spear, prompting John to pick up the shield to stop himself from getting stabbed. There is no way she could have known that he would have picked up the shield, and if he did not do that, she would have totally stabbed him.

Second, there is another attempt where Ayo tries to stab John, which is only avoided because Bucky grabs onto the spear with his metal arm. Third, the two other Dora Milaje get into a fight with Lamar, and there is a point where one of them is about to throw her spear at him, but Sam grabs onto the back of the spear, so she cannot stab him. These are clear attempts to kill John and Lamar and were only avoided because Sam and Bucky intervened.

Space Sweepers (2021)

Stupidity: Sullivan's soldiers enter the Victory and begin killing the Black Fox team. They don't hesitate or waste any time killing them, but when it's time for one of them to kill Hyeo-nu, instead of just shooting him with no qualms, the man approaches him ridiculously slowly, then spends around 12 seconds getting its gun in the right angle to kill him. Presumably done for dramatic effect, but still makes little sense in the context of the scene as they have just been shown to kill without issue. (01:31:00 - 01:31:45)

Space Sweepers (2021)

Stupidity: When the crew think that Dorothy is a robot with a bomb planted in her and is capable of exploding, they begin to think that she is about to explode and attempt to dodge it. Rather than hide somewhere or take cover behind an area that may protect them, they just get down on the floor in front of them and cover their heads with their hands. If they thought the explosion was going to be as deadly as the one they saw on the news, this method of taking cover wouldn't be even remotely effective. (00:24:40)

Casual Person

Stupidity: When Joan is in hell and is confronted by the overlord, she attempts to shoot him with the BFG-9000, so the overlord uses his powers to telekinetically blast Joan away and disarm her. A minute later, Joan picks up the BFG-9000 again, but the overlord never considers using its powers to blast Joan away from him again, which results in him getting killed.

Casual Person

Stupidity: Joan arms herself with the BFG-9000, and she, along with Bennett walk up to an elevator and wait for it to arrive. Once the elevator arrives, Bennett is standing with his body facing towards Joan and is facing away from the elevator. Considering the compound is filled with monsters and demons, it is extremely foolish of Bennett to not face the elevator, or at least be prepared, when it opens. This stupidity results in him getting captured.

Casual Person

Stupidity: When the marines get the reactor working, Dr Betruger stabs Veronica and kills her so that she will not be able to reveal his secrets to them. However, he stabs her in the lower back, so it would still give her ample time to tell the marines what he is trying to hide whilst she bleeds out. Surely it would have been easier to stab her in the neck or slit her throat.

Casual Person

Stupidity: When the overlord confronts Joan, he summons hundreds of demons to make sure that she is cornered and can't get away. However, the demons only appear to approach Joan from behind and from the side. After she kills the overlord, there is an entire area in front of Joan (behind where the overlord was standing) that is completely free of demons that she is able to run towards and escape. If the overlord was intent on cornering her, he should have made sure that all surrounding areas were covered.

Casual Person

Stupidity: Whilst the chaplain and one of the marines are talking in the kitchen, a demon sneaks up behind the marine, stabs him through the back and kills him. The demon then walks up to the chaplain and strikes him across the face and leaves the room to search for the rest of the crew. Despite the intent being to kill the crew, the demon does not make sure that the chaplain is dead before leaving. It just assumes the strike across the face will be enough to kill him.

Casual Person

Stupidity: When Joan and Winslow are walking through Level 2 after the monsters begin attacking them, at one point Joan turns around and shoots at a monster, but she misses and the monster is able to hide. After this she turns back around and continues to walk down the corridor. The monster she shot at isn't dead, it's just hiding, but instead of going to inspect where it ran off too, she decides to walk in the opposite direction, putting herself at risk of the monster sneaking up behind and attacking her.

Casual Person

Stupidity: Just after Joan finds Winslow after he kills a monster, they discover that it was actually a human geneticist, Dr John Carmack, that transformed into a monster, and they realise this by checking his name tag. Even if they didn't know the extent of what happened in the compound beforehand, the monster was still wearing human clothing and its body was still in the shape of a human body, so they should have, at least, realised that it was originally a human, even before looking at the name tag.

Casual Person

Stupidity: When Winslow sees Tarek getting eaten by one of the monsters, he runs up to the monster and attempts to tackle him. Apparently, he just forgot that he was holding a machine gun and could have easily just shot the monster instead of trying to stop him by hand.

Casual Person

Stupidity: When the marines are searching through Level 2 and detect lifeforms, they are about to shoot, which prompts a surviving scientist to run out into the open shouting "Don't shoot! Don't shoot!" This was a very foolish way of trying to get them to not shoot. Running out into the open like that could have prompted the marines to just start shooting out of shock or instinct even if she was going to say not to.
