Casual Person

Corrected entry: Chow emails Alan to meet him at a bus stop in Tijuana. That's all the email says and they manage to get to the right bus stop. It would seem rather unlikely they would just happen to get the exact bus stop Chow was going to given the fact that there would have been loads of bus stops in Tijuana anyway. (00:27:30 - 00:29:55)

Casual Person

Correction: Phil announces that the email tells Alan to meet Chow at a bus stop in Tijuana, but he does not read out the entire email word for word. The email could have also contained more specific directions which he simply did not bother to read out at that point.

Correction: It's passed off as her eating too much and getting bloated.

Corrected entry: A boy tells Meyer that he can drive his car across the lake as the water is very shallow. Whilst the boy is saying "Come on, it's easy", he is shown standing in a part of the river that is filled with rocks and proceeds to walk across to prove how shallow it is. Meyer then begins to drive into the river thinking the water is shallow, but the area of the river he drives into is not the same area the boy walked across. The area the boy walked across had rocks on both sides of him, but the area Meyer drives into is left of that area. (01:31:00)

Casual Person

Correction: That's not a mistake. That was the whole point of the scene. Meyer thought the whole river would be just as shallow and didn't drive over the part the boy told him to, and suffered the consequences.

Rick and Morty (2013)

Meeseeks and Destroy - S1-E5

Corrected entry: When Rick and Morty are in the giant's lair, the giant enters the kitchen, slips, and bangs his head on the table, which then kills him. The giant's wife then accuses Rick and Morty of attacking her husband and traps the duo in a glass, and they get arrested by the police. Rick stated earlier in the scene that he had his portal gun with him, so he could have easily just opened a portal, and they could have escaped before the police arrived. They knew the police were coming because they saw the wife calling the police after trapping them.

Casual Person

Correction: Since Morty was calling the shots, using the portal gun to escape the adventure would've been giving up, and he would've lost the bet.

Looper (2012)

Corrected entry: When Joe returns to the company with the silver bars at the start, he is shown placing the two silver bars on top of each other in a slot, with the bottom silver bar placed an inch over the edge of the slot. A couple of shots later, as the bars go to be taken away, the bottom bar is no longer placed over the edge and is placed onto the slot. (00:03:15)

Casual Person

Correction: Joe was sliding the bars into the slot as the shot changes.

Men in Black 3 (2012)

Corrected entry: The Army Colonel says "Take them to the brig". However, the brig is used in the Navy. The Army has the stockade. (01:22:45)

Casual Person

Correction: Before the launch complex was built, Cape Canaveral was a naval port for both military and civilian, and as of 2018 still contains an operational US Navy base which supports aspects of the submarine ballistic missile program. It therefore would make sense for a military officer, even of a different branch, to use the term brig, since that was the kind of facility present.

Red (2010)

Corrected entry: In the scene after Sarah mentions the book "Love's Savage Secret", Frank is then seen lying in bed reading the novel. Notice how he uses reading glasses in this scene. In the shot where the camera is in front of Frank after the shot of the page, we can see nothing is reflected in his reading glasses. In the next shot, the page (or lamp or similar), is suddenly reflected in his reading glasses. This can't have anything to do with the angle of the camera because both shots are in front of Frank, just in different close-ups. (00:06:45)

Casual Person

Correction: There is a slight reflection in the first shot and the camera angle does change a little.

Grand Theft Auto V

Corrected entry: Prologue: A security guard in the Ludendorff bank pulls off Michael's mask, prompting Trevor to shoot the guard. When they continue to escape the bank, Michael leaves his mask behind, leaving his face exposed. The masks are supposed to conceal their identity. Leaving his face exposed defies their entire purpose.

Casual Person

Correction: The bank's cameras will have caught his face when his mask was removed. No point hiding it again.

Cheers (1982)

Sam at Eleven - S1-E4

Corrected entry: As Sam tells Diane about the guy from Baltimore, the camera starts to pan around the bar. Just as the camera goes past the women's bathroom, the door starts to open. The door then closes itself in an instant frame. (00:22:40)

Casual Person

Correction: A few seconds must have been edited from the version you watched. When I watched it two women come out of the bathroom and the door closes normally.

Bowling255

I noticed this mistake on a Region 2 DVD box set from the UK. From what I seen, an editing blip occurs where a couple frames of film are repeated just as the door starts to open. This editing error may have been corrected on other DVDs and television broadcasts, but I definitely remember seeing this on the DVD that I own of it.

Casual Person

Corrected entry: Just after Cull Obsidian advances on Tony, Bruce, Doctor Strange and Wong to get the Time Stone, Tony activates his nanotech Iron Man suit, and the Iron Man suit forms around his body. Just before his helmet forms around his head, there is a wide shot where he takes off his glasses, but as his he is lowering them, the glasses appear to fade out of existence. He is never shown dropping the glasses or putting them down, they just appear to have been digitally removed from his hand. (00:21:00)

Casual Person

Correction: It is possible these glasses are made of nanotech as well and they dissolve into his suit.

lionhead

Definitely. There would be no reason to go through the expense and effort to digitally erase them from his hand when they could simply film him dropping them to the ground. The fact that they disappear as his suit is forming around him infers that they are part of the nanotech.

Only The Good... - S8-E8

Corrected entry: In an attempt to stop Ackerman from finding Baxter's hooch when the cell is being inspected, Rimmer and Lister decide to drink the remaining bottles of hooch. Even if they thought they could drink the hooch bottles before Ackerman arrived to inspect, they still would have the empty bottles inside the cell with them, so drinking the hooch would have been completely ineffective in the long run. (00:13:05)

Casual Person

Correction: An empty bottle isn't contraband, only its contents. They could have refilled them with water, minimising any scent of the hooch.

Red Dwarf (1988)

Only The Good... - S8-E8

Corrected entry: When Rimmer and Lister discover Kryten has planted Baxter's hooch in their cell, the only solutions that they can come up with is emptying the bottles into the sink and toilet, before deciding to drink it. In S8 E6 Pete (Part 1), it is shown that their cell had a ceiling duct used to allow Bob the Skutter to give Lister his meal. They could have easily planted the hooch in the duct, but that isn't even considered. It is unlikely they would have forgotten about the duct given the limited amount of places in the cell that they could hide it. (00:12:40)

Casual Person

Correction: A search of their cell would likely also include a search of an easily accessible ventilation duct for contraband goods.

Better Than Life - S2-E2

Corrected entry: At the restaurant, the guide hands Lister his caviar vindaloo, which he states is "half rice, half chips and more bread and butter to follow", but there are visibly no chips on the plate. There are caviar, vindaloo, rice and potato wedges shown on the plate, but no chips. (00:19:25)

Casual Person

Correction: In this case, no. I've been to many places where the restaurant makes no distinctions in why type of fries or chips they serve. I've been served fries that look exactly like the potato wedges Lister got before.

Bishop73

Correction: The potato wedges are the "chips." It's a British term for fried potatoes or what Americans may call "fries."

Bishop73

Potato wedges and chips are made from potato, but are still two different things. If the guide wanted to say it was half potato wedges, then he could have just said "half potato wedges."

Casual Person

The Rothman Disintegration - S5-E17

Corrected entry: After Sheldon has told Barry about the rules of Rock/Paper/Scissors/Lizard/Spock for the first time, Barry then replies "I'm sorry, can you repeat that." When he says "repeat", he correctly pronounces the "r." However, it has already been established throughout the series that Barry pronounces all his Rs like Ws due to his speech impediment.

Casual Person

Correction: Barry doesn't always mispronounce the letter R. It can happen with certain Rs and Ls.

Corrected entry: When Baze fires the bazooka at the AT-AT, he can be seen lowering the bazooka immediately after firing, but when he realises that the AT-AT is still functioning, the bazooka is suddenly placed back over his shoulder. (01:40:50)

Casual Person

Correction: When they cut away to show the AT-AT still functioning, that would have been enough time for him to put the bazooka back over his shoulder. He didn't struggle with it, so it would have just taken him a second.

Pixels (2015)

Corrected entry: When Cooper and the Prime Minister are watching the Sky News report, it is night time outside, but the time on the live report reads 15:48. The news is being broadcast in Britain and Sky News is a British news channel so there would be no time difference.

Casual Person

Correction: While the airing of the news is live, they are not watching it live. It was recorded so they could watch it later with the president (such as on a DVR). They even pause it at the end.

Bishop73

Corrected entry: When Frink says he made an acid firing super drill, there are people next to him on both his left and right. In the next shot (where we see the acid firing super drill outside the dome), there aren't any people standing next to him on the right, just the left. (00:28:10)

Casual Person

Correction: Due to the camera angles it does appear to be the case. However, you will notice that just before the camera cuts to show the drill, all the people behind Frink are in a line. When we see the drill, the people are still in a line but the people furthest from the camera appear to be closer to Frink.

Ssiscool

Corrected entry: When Homer returns home with Spider-Pig, Maggie's high chair is positioned to be facing the archway between the kitchen and living room. A few seconds later, after Marge realises Spider-Pig is the twisted tail, Marge says "I believe what happened in church was a warning about precisely this" and Maggie's high chair is suddenly positioned to face the fridge. (00:15:30)

Casual Person

Correction: We see Maggie's highchair from a completely different angle and as such, the angle makes it appear it's facing the fridge when in reality it is still facing the arch.

Ssiscool

Corrected entry: When Grandpa is freaking out in church, Milhouse's dad Kirk is sitting directly behind Homer. But when Homer is looking through the Bible to try and help Grandpa, there is no sign of Kirk at all. (00:05:45)

Casual Person

Correction: Due to the angle of the camera he will not be visible when Homer is flicking through the bible.

Ssiscool

I watched this scene carefully and at least part of him should have been visible.

I agree because Kirk is sitting at the end of the pew, and we can see part of the pew behind Homer that Kirk was sitting at.

Bishop73

Corrected entry: When Taylor is in Zira's office, he has written on several notes. You can see the handwriting is completely different to the note he wrote "My name is Taylor" on earlier. (00:45:30 - 00:46:15)

Casual Person

Correction: The writing may be different because in the cell he had to hurry before getting beaten and having the materials taken away. in the office, he could take his time and thus write in his natural style.
