Factual error: Ole and all the Thrush baddies call the missing chemical component a "catalyzer," repeating the term throughout the episode. This was a scriptwriter's error, which only David McCallum, to his credit, corrected: he had Illya say "catalyst," which is what the writer meant. "Catalyzer" isn't a word. (00:10:45)

Factual error: The jailed student protestors are dancing in their cell to a jazzy tune. But they have no radio or record player - just one guy with a guitar. They seem to have conjured the accompanying saxophone, jazz clarinets and percussion section out of thin air. (00:11:00)

Factual error: The Seaview's military history computers need an upgrade. The derelict German sub is identified as a WWI ship, the U444, supposedly sunk in 1918. There were only 167 U-boats in WWI. U444 wasn't built until 1942. And the sub's design is definitely WWII, not WWI. (00:02:30)

Factual error: The narrator recites that the dove "came in unto Noah in the evening". But the footage depicting this event wasn't shot in the evening. The sun is high in a very bright, blue sky. (01:16:20)

Factual error: Travis fails Astronomy 101 with the line, "Blake - the other patrols have pushed him into this galaxy." That should be star system, not galaxy. B7's ships weren't capable of intergalactic travel. Not just a character mistake, either. Travis is a trained Space Commander, and should definitely know the very big difference between a solar system and a galaxy, even if the scriptwriters - and people who keep miscorrecting this error - do not. Factual error: The derelict sub is said to have suddenly moved itself more than 30,000 sea miles from its original position. This makes no sense. The entire circumference of the Earth is only 22,000 sea miles. And if the sub had somehow circled the globe plus an additional 8,000 sea miles, there'd be no way to tell that it hadn't simply moved just 8,000 miles. (00:08:10)

Factual error: Though he's tied up at the time, Solo somehow calls Illya on the pen communicator in his pocket. This leaves us to wonder just how he managed to uncap the pen, extend the antenna and "dial" the frequency (all of which was always necessary before) without the use of his hands. (00:31:30)

Factual error: Illya leaps onto the rope in the monastery tower, causing the bell to ring. After sliding down the rope to the floor, he then identifies the tone as "B Major 7th." But the musically-literate Illya should know better. B Major 7th is a chord (B, D-sharp, F-sharp, A-sharp), not a single note. (00:41:45)

Factual error: Moon Base is imperiled by a rogue Russian mining trawler said to be heading "straight for it." But several shots of the vehicle show it veering wildly in very wide arcs, moving far too erratically to determine that it's on a collision course. (00:38:00)

Factual error: Maybe they took time in the midst of a desperate escape to tack Orac down with Velcro? When the shuttle first takes off, its angle of ascent causes Orac to nearly slide off the control panel. A short time later, the angle is far steeper, but this time Orac stays perfectly still.
