Iron Man (2008)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Tony is trying to get out of the suit and just before he says "Lets face it, this is not the worst thing you have caught me doing", you can see Captain America's shield under his right arm.

Cam Slusser

Correction: Already submitted as trivia.

Grumpy Scot

Corrected entry: When Medusa first notices Percy she puts her glasses on the crazy lady's statue, but when they are later seen with the head she has glasses on.

Ivan-sama

Correction: Well yeah, one of them put the glasses on the head to make it safer to carry around.

The Lost Boys (1987)

Corrected entry: Max makes a point of being invited in, and at the end mentions that inviting a vampire in makes you powerless to them. But who invited David, Carlo and the others in?

Correction: Inviting them in only makes you powerless to harm them (in this movie's interpretation). David and the others aren't invited, therefore Sam and the Frog Brothers are able to use all the standard anti-vampire tactics against them.

Zombieland (2009)

Corrected entry: When Tallahasee is in the booth, he sets out Beretta magazines on the counter, but when shooting is seen holding 1911s.

Ian Hunt

Correction: Actually, he has a 1911 in his right hand and a SIG P226 9mm in his left. He sets down SIG and Colt magazines.

Corrected entry: On Ceti, Khan states that Kirk never checked on their progress - and there is no reason or film evidence to doubt it. Later, Bones starts to inform Kirk that Khan blames Kirk for the death (of his wife), but Kirk interrupts and says, "I know what he blames me for". How?

Correction: Kirk is furious over Khan's attack, and feeling guilty over both the cadets he got killed by ignoring regs and never checking on Khan's people. He doesn't want to hear any more about it, he just wants to move on and resolve the situation. Further, as Marla McGivers is nowhere in sight, he's probably already figured out she's at the top of Khan's 'why I hate Kirk list'.

Toy Story 2 (1999)

Corrected entry: Within the first opening minutes of Toy Story 2, when Andy is playing with the toys before he has to leave for Cowboy Camp, Andy uses RC's remote to get RC to knock down Pig. Though in Toy Story 1, at the end of the movie when RC's batteries die, Woody throws the remote down, not picking it back up after he lights the rocket. Therefore Andy wouldn't be able to use RC again because he doesn't have the remote anymore.

TheBrockanater

Correction: It's seen that Andy labels his toys and the truck hasn't left Andy's neighborhood. Someone who knows they are moving could have found it and called his mom and returned it before they left the city or mailed it to them. Its a bit of a reach, but since the remote is there in the sequel, not impossible.

Grumpy Scot

Or they just bought a new one.

Correction: It's a different controller. The colors on it are slightly different from the ones in the first film. A lot of remote control cars run on the same frequencies allowing multiple controllers to work on them.

Full Metal Jacket (1987)

Corrected entry: In the movie Gunny Hartman tells the recruits that Lee Harvey Oswald was such a great shooter because he was trained by the Marines. In 1956 Oswald joined the United States Marine Corps, and was trained as an Aircraft Maintenance Repairman. Despite stories to the contrary, he never learned to fire his rifle as an "expert" and was never trained as a sniper.

BocaDavie

Correction: Marines spend three to four weeks of their 12 week boot camp learning to shoot. The other three branches train for one. Marine marksmanship training is also more in-depth than any of the other services. Indeed, a basic tenant of Marine service is "Every Marine is a rifleman." which is repeated constantly during rifle training. There are four possible results qualifying in the Marines. 1. Expert 2. Sharpshooter 3. Marksman and 4. Noqual (or fail). Oswald qualified as a sharpshooter.

Grumpy Scot

Corrected entry: There is in fact a real ship in the US Navy called The Black Pearl.

Correction: Not according to the US Naval registry there isn't. There's USS Black, Black Hawk, Black Fox and Black Fin and Pearl Harbor but no Black Pearl.

The Matrix (1999)

Corrected entry: When Neo is on the rooftop, and the helicopter is crashing, he winds the rope around his arm and as the helicopter goes down, it drags him to the edge of the building which is surrounded by blocks of some kind. Notice, when he hits the blocks, the block under his right foot wobbles showing it's not real.

DoctorProcter

Correction: Notice, when he hits the blocks, the block under his right foot wobbles, showing the enormous force its under from Neo's skid and Trinity's fall. Creating drama as to whether or not Neo will be jerked over the edge as well.

Batman and Robin (1997)

Corrected entry: Bane busts into the prisoner property locker to steal Mr Freeze's suit. As this locker is used to store personal effects of prisoners, there are two errors in this sequence. Firstly, Two Face's suit from the previous film is in plain view, which would not be in the locker since Two Face died in the previous film and is not a prisoner at Arkham. Secondly, the Riddler's green suit is also in there, although at the time of his arrest in the previous film he was wearing a white sequined suit. Contrary to what a corrector previously posted, the Riddler's green suit should logically not be in the locker either, since he was not wearing it at the time of his arrest and it would therefore be considered police evidence rather than the prisoner's personal effects, and would be kept at the police station rather than the asylum itself.

virtual-toast

Correction: Yes, but in the DC Universe, things are done a bit differently. Any gear belonging to a supervillain is either kept at Arkham Asylum (for non super powered villains/equipment) or S.T.A.R. Labs in Metropolis (for gadgets like Mr. Freeze's gun). Both sites are more secure than a normal police evidence room. This is just a nod to the comics.

Zombieland (2009)

Corrected entry: In the opening narration, Columbus says that the zombie virus derived from the virus that causes Mad Cow disease. The problem is, Mad Cow disease is caused by prions (pathogenic, misfolded proteins), not viruses. It can't really count as a character mistake because his narration is used to deliver exposition outside of the main story.

Correction: Columbus is also giving information to Joe and Jane Average with this narration. How many people watching are going to have the first clue of what a prion or prokaryote or eukaryote or bacillus is? Everyone's heard of a virus, so there you go.

No Weenies Allowed / Squilliam Returns - S3-E6

Corrected entry: In "Squilliam Returns", when Spongebob erases everything from his mind, (except fine dining and breathing) his brain is shown shredding papers. When his brain shreds memory, one paper shredded is entitled "Spice Garden Tips". Later when Squilliam arrives, Spongebob serves him the "Krabby Newburg" which he says, "contains herbs from our garden". But if Spongebob forgot his "Spice Garden Tips", he would not be able to prepare that dish. (00:05:40)

JT

Correction: While I have to applaud the attention to detail, preparing food with seasonings from an existing garden would not require tips on how to grow one.

Stargate SG-1 (1997)

Red Sky - S5-E5

Corrected entry: At the end of the show, SG1 travels back to the planet after the delivery of the heavy element into the alien sun to determine if the delivery of said material worked in restoring the sun to its original operational characteristics. However, if presumably they used the stargate to travel to and from the planet, then they would necessarily reintroduce the plutonium into the sun, causing a chicken-and-the-egg thing. The only way around this, which wasn't mentioned, would be to travel to a third planet and then to the world.

Correction: SG-1 often gets transportation from the Tok'ra and (less often) the Asgard when the gate is not an option.

Zombieland (2009)

Correction: Tallahassee's weapon stays the same. It's a shortened Winchester 1892 rifle nicknamed a "Mare's Leg". It might look double barrel at a glance because of the tubular magazine under the barrel.

Zombieland (2009)

Corrected entry: In the opening scenes, when Columbus is telling his rules and is shown been chased by two zombies, he runs to his car, drops his keys and continues running (I.E. Cardio). He comes back to his car and opens the door, then drives off and a zombie who was quietly lying down in the back seat attacks him. This is obviously added for shock value, as we see no car damage to show the zombie forced its way in and since zombies are full of rage, we are expected to believe it could calmly sit and wait for the driver.

rodogg88

Correction: Columbus also tells the audience that the zombies seemed to get smarter, catching people when they were most vulnerable, ie in the john. One crawling into his car and waiting for him to get in would fall neatly into this category.

iCarly (2007)

IKiss - S2-E7

Corrected entry: It is found that Freddie has never kissed a girl. However, in the previous season in the episode "iWill Date Freddie," Freddie gets a girlfriend named Valerie and in one scene, one of Freddie's classmates says, "You kissed a girl? And it wasn't your Mom? Cool!" (or something to that effect).

Correction: Freddie specifically states that he gave Valarie a little peck with everyone watching in the hallway at school and that it didn't count as a "real kiss".

Grumpy Scot

Corrected entry: When Larry and Cecil first enter the Egyptian pharaoh's tomb, Cecil mentions that the pharaoh has a 24 carat gold tablet. These purities weren't achieved until more than 4000 years after the tablet was supposedly crafted, in industrial times. (00:16:25)

purumal

Correction: The tablet was created with magic. Normal 24k gold doesn't make museum exhibits come alive, does it?
