Corrected entry: In the scene where the TX is being overpowered by the magnetic field, why aren't the weapons in John Connor's backpack being pulled too? He's carrying at least an Uzi in the backpack, because he fires it at the Crystal Peak to check if there is anyone there.

Correction: Its not an Uzi, its a Glock 18 full auto pistol. They can be obtained with ceramic components, plastic hardware and aluminum barrel, all non magnetic.

Corrected entry: The baby aliens are shown to all in the camp. No mention of them at the end of the movie even from the reporter who raps things up. (01:01:45)

Larry Koehn

Correction: At one point one of the soldiers says they burned everything in the professor's lab.

Grumpy Scot

Corrected entry: After the three astronauts woke up, they notice that they have large beards due to the time they spend in suspended animation. However, their hair hasn't grown an inch.

Correction: Facial hair (beards and moustaches) grow much faster than head hair. The three astronauts were probably shaved almost to the scalp before entering suspended animation.

The Omega Man (1971)

Corrected entry: After Neville shoots his rifle at the mutants, you see him going back into his house and holding the rifle by the barrel as he puts it in the corner. He would have burned his hand.

MCKD

Correction: He only fires 3 or 4 shots, it would take quite a bit more to heat up the barrel.

Grumpy Scot

Corrected entry: In the scene where Daniel saves some Autobots and his father from the acid pit by blasting the lid support, why didn't Spike blast the acid cover lid himself? Seeing as Daniel was wearing Spike's old exo-suit, did Spike upgrade to a suit with no weaponry? (01:14:10)

Correction: Its possible that the clamps the bots and Spike were held in had some sort of weapon damper to keep armed victims from escaping.

Grumpy Scot

Correction: Duplicated mistake.

The Ring (2002)

Corrected entry: This might be a stupid question, but why would anybody build a cabin on top of a well? Wouldn't they first fill it with earth, or at least demolish the wall around it to even the ground? What is the point of building a wall around the well and putting a floor over it; other than having characters drop into it in a spectacular way.

Correction: Samara's family is very ashamed and frightened of her and what they did to her. They built the cabin over the well to hide it rather than risk releasing her by demolishing the well.

Deep Rising (1998)

Corrected entry: When the pirates first comes across Famke Janssens character, she is wearing a red dress. Then all of a sudden she has changed into something more suitable and convenient to jump around in. We never get to see her change. When this happens, she stays in the new outfit for the rest of the movie.

Correction: In the scene where the ship's owner is talking about how expensive the ship is to run and why he hired the terrorists, Famke Janssen is seen in the background digging through some lockers to find more suitable clothes.

Corrected entry: When they though that Elizabeth was a Turner and they needed her blood, she only got her hand cut. But when Will was about to shed his blood, it was his throat that was going to be cut. What's with the drastic change between the blood getting?

DenizenZERO

Correction: Barbossa says a bit earlier that they would take no chances and use all of his blood instead of a few drops. Another reason is that Elizabeth's company would have been pleasurable afterward whereas Will would just be a bother.

Grumpy Scot

Corrected entry: The emotion chip in Generation is very large compared to the one shown in the TV episodes where Data first shows it and where he gets it from his brother. How could the chip have grown? Also Data's "father" build the chip specifically for him so why would it overload any part of Data?

Correction: Dr. Soong says it will give Data basic human emotions (fear, joy, love and hate most likely). It is quite possible Data built on to it to allow a wider range of emotional possibilites. It overloaded him because he didn't test it with its new capabilites before he first used it.

The Thing (1982)

Corrected entry: At the end of the movie there are only two survivors. They are discussing if either of them is the "thing." Although they are both outside in the frigid cold you can only see Kurt's breath. I assume this makes the other the "thing."

Correction: No because it is demonstrated that a "Thing's" breath is perfectly visible in the cold when the Bennings-Thing moans just before MacReady burns it.

Grumpy Scot

Not so much a correction as a comment...i think Mac shares his bottle with Child's at that point...not a safe thing to do at that point.

Correction: When Childs first arrives at the end, his breath is visible. Also, of note is the fact that Childs still has his earring and gold tooth intact. Now the thing may have known by then that the humans had figured out these things and re-inserted the earring and the tooth, but Childs breath is at the end, just not from the final angle.

Heartbreak Ridge (1986)

Corrected entry: Whenever a Marine Corps unit goes anywhere they are accompanied by a United States Navy Corpsman. So when Profile gets hit a "doc" should have been there to be responsible for medical care. Although Marines are trained in basic injury care, they are still accompanied by a Corpsman per unit.

Correction: Recon units have SARC's or Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman. If they were in fact going into combat in Grenada they would never have left without a SARC.

Correction: Force Recon troops are like Army SF or Navy SEALS. Each trooper has several jobs. So, no corpsman would have accompanied them. However, one of them should have had training equal to a corpsman or better.

The Thing (1982)

Corrected entry: When Dr. Copper is trying to revive Norris with the defibrillator, Norris becomes a 'Thing' and his entire chest caves in, becomes a mouth, and rips off Dr. Copper's arms. Watch closely. When Dr. Copper initially breaks through Norris' chest, the teeth on the sides are white and thin, resembling almost canine or shark teeth. When the scene cuts back to Copper's arms being ripped off, the teeth have become large, rough and jagged.

Correction: Everytime we see the Thing, it is constantly changing right before our eyes. Why couldn't it make its teeth bigger?

Superman (1978)

Corrected entry: After flying with the movie's hero, Lois comes up with the name "Superman". But what else is the letter "S" for on our hero's outfit? This name was already given to our hero OR the suit or S sign should have been designed after Lois thought of the name.

Correction: This is explained in the comics. Superman's "S" is the symbol of the House of El. Lois thought it was an "S" and came up with Superman as a result.

Grumpy Scot

Lois does not notice nor mention the S on his chest (which, as you pointed out, is not an S at all). After Superman drops her off, she's talking out loud to herself and says "what a super man", which then gives her the idea to call him "Superman."

Tremors 2 (1996)

Corrected entry: In the scene where the monster is pulling the truck, the truck has a rifle on its gun rack. The rifle gets into the hands of Brady who is in the truck bed, then back into the gun rack a few scenes later while Brady is still in the bed.

Correction: It would make sense that they would each have a rifle, and that it's not one jumping around due to bad editing.

The Abyss (1989)

Corrected entry: When Bud gives Lindsay CPR, every time he gives her a breath, her cheeks puff out. When administering CPR, this is not supposed to happen. The air is supposed to go into the lungs, and the chest will rise and fall. This is how the rescuer knows that he or she is giving breaths correctly. If air is going only into the cheeks, the rescuer must reposition the victim's head and try again. (02:03:51)

Correction: This isn't really a factual error so much as just a special effects thing. Doing correct CPR on a breathing person could seriously injure them. Its just like any time in a movie someone gives chest compressions and barely moves the patients chest. Real CPR is brutal.

Mimic (1997)

Corrected entry: When his father realises Chuy is missing from his bedroom, he phones the police and is told they can't do anything for 48 hours. It is inconceivable that the police would refuse to act when a child of about 12 goes missing. (00:45:00)

jle

Correction: Many police departments will not list a child or person as missing for 24-48 hours, particularly in a huge city.

Tremors 2 (1996)

Corrected entry: According to Kate, every time the walking graboids eat, they reproduce. If this is so, how come they didn't reproduce when they ate Pedro or Julio?

Correction: Who's to say they don't? We never see the shrieker that ate Pedro and Earl and Grady kill the other one less than a minute after it ate Julio.

Grumpy Scot

Corrected entry: In the beginning, when Gummer was talking to the press he said: "A single graboid reported in this area, reproducing into six shriekers." In Tremors 2, only three shriekers came from each graboid.

Correction: We actually only see one Graboid with three empty "birthing sacs" inside it. There is nothing to suggest that a Graboid can't spawn 3-6 Shriekers each.

Superman II (1980)

Corrected entry: When Superman breaks General Zod's hand and picks him up with one hand, you can see a sweat stain under his arm.

Correction: Superman sweats. I would think he would be a little nervous about trying to trick the super villains into losing their powers.
