Continuity mistake: When Penny finds out about the expedition, Sheldon starts to walk to his apartment. Camera cuts to Leonard in the apartment for five seconds and then to Penny in the doorway. Behind her, you can see Sheldon walking to the apartment still. Since he was halfway to start with, he should be in the apartment by now. (00:10:35)

Continuity mistake: When Quirrel collapses in the great hall on Halloween, his feet are quite far apart. Camera cuts to everyone rushing for the door, and Quirrel's feet are practically touching. (01:05:30)

Continuity mistake: The size and style of the writing on the envelope from Hogwarts at the starts changes depending on the shot. When Uncle Vernon picks it up, the word "stairs" is a fair way from the edge of the envelope. When he flips it over and you get a close up, the same word is a lot closer to the edge. (00:08:50)

Continuity mistake: When Harry is telling the others that Snape gave Hagrid the dragon's egg, there is a group of older people walking towards them. They start to pass Harry, the camera changes angle and they are just starting to pass Harry again. (01:47:50)
