Audio problem: When in the Goblin's house, Sarah chucks a plate of food in a Goblins face and says 'Hungry?' but her mouth doesn't move when she says this. Submitted by Hamster
Continuity: When the Junk Lady says, "Well, what about this? This is not junk," as she hands Sarah the music box, Sarah turns in her chair, brings the music box close to look at it and the toys piled behind Sarah are higher than her head. After a close-up of the Junk Lady, in the next shot of Sarah, she is still bringing the music box a bit closer to her as she turns in her chair and the toys piled behind her are now only up to her shoulders. Continuity: When Toby catches the crystal ball Jareth throws, Toby is sitting right by the edge of the stairs, Sarah then shouts 'Toby!' then in the next shot Toby is sitting further away from the stairs. Submitted by Hamster
Visible crew/equipment: As Hoggle and Sarah climb the ladder after being chased by the cleaners, Hoggle says to Sarah 'I'm a coward, and Jareth scares me.' As he says this you can see a wire attached to him. Submitted by Hamster
Revealing: After climbing up the ladder, Hoggle stands up in the large pot, then Sarah climbs out in the foreground and Hoggle is seen raising his body, to climb out of the pot too. However as Sarah lifts her leg out of the pot, Hoggle is seen lowering his body back into the pot. In the next shot he is beside the pot as if he just climbed out. Submitted by Rikki
Revealing: Ludo holds Sir Didymus up by his staff and promptly drops him on the ground. He gets up, whacks Ludo in the knee with his staff and then his plastic staff bends and folds over as it hits the knee. Yet in the following shots his staff is creaseless and straight again. Submitted by Rikki
Revealing: When in the oubliette, Hoggle lights one candle, and it's flame seems to be able to light up the whole of the oubliette very brightly, much like studio lighting. Submitted by Hamster
Audio problem: In his throne room, Jareth starts to sing, "Dance, magic, dance..." In the overhead shot when they sing the words, "Put that magic spell on me," he kicks the little guy up, then in the next front shot when he sings the second line, "Jump, magic, jump," and just before and during which he throws Toby in the air, in all these shots either his lips do not reflect the words heard or his lips move and no sound is heard. Submitted by Rikki
Visible crew/equipment: First in Sarah's father's bedroom, as Jareth holds and flits the crystal back and forth in his hand, then at his castle as Jareth holds the crystals while sitting in the window and in the scene with the drifting stone as Jareth holds one crystal, objects are reflected upside down within the spheres. Studio lamps and its lights are visible, as well as reflections other than Jareth and Sarah. Submitted by Rikki
Visible crew/equipment: At the Bog of Eternal Stench Ludo summons the rocks with his howling, and we then see one shot of a rock rolling forward. You can see a thick wire attached the centre of the rock, pulling it forward to make it roll. Submitted by Hamster
Continuity: When Didymus says "I say, does anyone want to play a game of scrabble" he has a staff in his right hand, and is holding it down by the side of Sarah's bed, but in the next shot he is holding the staff upright on top of Sarah's bed. Submitted by Hamster
Continuity: When Sarah first sees the two doorknockers, she walks straight past the doorknocker with the ring in his mouth. But in the next shot, she is standing next to Ludo. Then in the next shot she's in the corner, between the two doors, then beside Ludo again. She changes where she stands in almost every shot. Submitted by Hamster
Continuity: When Sarah is finally back in her room, she sees Ludo, Sir Didymus and Hoggle in the reflection of her vanity mirror. Her white dress that lies on her bed changes position when seen on the real bed, the close-ups in the reflection and the semi close-ups in the reflection. Submitted by Rikki
Continuity: The length of Sarah's nails change considerably between certain shots in this film. For example, after biting the peach she puts her hand on the tree and her nails are short. Upon returning to her home she runs up to Toby, strokes his face and her nails are long. Then, in her room, when she holds the clipping, puts it and the music box, etc. in her vanity drawer, her nails are short again. Submitted by Rikki
Visible crew/equipment: When Sarah and Hoggle slip off the ledge at the Bog of Eternal Stench, Ludo breaks their fall below. As they fall, in the wide shot, the lines holding Sarah and Hoggle are visible. Submitted by Rikki
Continuity: When Jareth is singing "Dance Magic," he is throwing Toby into the air. In one throw, Toby's back is facing the camera, but in the very next shot, when Toby lands in one of the Goblin's arms, he is now facing the camera. Submitted by Hamster
Revealing: Jareth sends a crystal ball to turn into the cleaners in the ugliet. Right after the cleaners appear, the camera turns to Hoggle & Sarah, where Hoggle says, "Oh no, the Cleaners." Soon after, the two of them start to run. As they start to turn, look above at the ceiling. A light turns on to show them the way out.
Continuity: As Sir Didymus bangs the large grey brick holding the bridge up and says "Have no fear sweet maiden...", the large brick then suddenly falls. Between shots the amount of green fungus and moss covering the grey brick increases. Submitted by Hamster
Continuity: In the Goblin City, the guards emerge from behind the walls, equipped with weapons and ready to fight. Sarah, Hoggle and Ludo run away, but Sir Didymus turns and yells "Right, charge!" But in the next shot Ambrosius cowardly runs away. Between these two shots, the actual clothes themselves which hang from the line above them change, and their positions differ as well. Submitted by Hamster
Continuity: The house that Ambrosius runs into has a small metal pole with thick rope tied around it very loosely. However when Sir Didymus is at the door, telling him to unlock it, the rope is now tied around the metal much more securely and is differently positioned. Submitted by Hamster
