Continuity mistake: When the Horsemen are escaping the OCTA party, Merritt starts accusing Daniel of being the lead Horseman and removes the microphone headset he is wearing. The shot then cuts to an angle behind Merritt, and the microphone headset is suddenly back on his head. (00:25:40)
Continuity mistake: When the Horsemen land inside the baskets in the Chinese restaurant, in the shot focusing on Merritt, Daniel is seen beginning to stand up, but in the next shot, he is suddenly lying back in the basket. (00:26:10)
Continuity mistake: When Merritt is explaining to Daniel, Jack and Lula that they are in China, he starts saying "I think where we are right now, they don't refer to it as Chinese food." In this shot, he is standing beside Lula, maybe a few inches ahead of her, but in the next shot, Merritt is suddenly a couple more feet ahead of her. (00:27:20)
Character mistake: When Dylan answers his phone asking "Where are you?" assuming it is the Horsemen, it is revealed to be Thaddeus telling him where he left him 18 months ago, referring to being framed at the end of the first movie. The first movie ended with Thaddeus being framed one day after Mardi Gras, which would have set the first movie in late February or early March. The events of this movie take place days before New Years Eve in December. The two events are closer to 21-22 months apart, not 18 months. (00:29:45)
Suggested correction: Thaddeus says "right where you left me, 18 months ago." Thaddeus could have been referring to how long he has been in prison following the transfer after a conviction, not the time since the cell scene in the first movie.

Continuity mistake: When Walter is explaining his plan, after telling Merritt they may not be having fun but he is, Walter begins to walk away from the Horsemen, but in the next shot, is suddenly standing several meters from them. (00:36:30)
Continuity mistake: When Walter is explaining his relationship with Owen to the Horsemen, Merritt's position changes whenever the shot is on him. He is either sitting on the couch with his arm on the arm rest and leaning forward, sitting with his arm on the arm rest and has his back against the couch or sitting with his back against the couch with his hand in his lap. Continuity mistake: When Walter is requesting the Horsemen to steal the computer chip, Merritt is seen with his bow tie untied. Whilst Walter is explaining that the chip is being previewed tomorrow, Merritt has the left side of the bow tie mostly covered up by his jacket, with some of the bow tie sticking out from it. After Walter says they just need to inspect and steal it, the entirety of the left side of the bow tie is now entirely obscured by the jacket. Walter then says back home they are wanted criminals and suddenly, part of the left hand side bow tie is suddenly sticking out from the jacket again. (00:38:45)
Continuity mistake: The analogue clock on the wall in Thaddeus' prison cell goes back in time by 5 minutes from 7:57 to 7:52. (00:42:10)
Continuity mistake: At the magic shop, when Daniel is reading out the list to Li, Daniel first has his right hand on the paper, but in the next shot, he is holding the paper with his left hand. (00:44:20)
Continuity mistake: When Merritt and Chase leave the magic shop to go for a drink, Jack has his hand placed on top of a reverse rain machine. The shot then cuts to a closer angle of the reverse rain machine where his hand is no longer on top of it. (00:45:20)
Continuity mistake: When Dylan and Thaddeus are leaving the prison and are about to get into the car, Thaddeus tells Dylan his sources are telling him the Horsemen are in Macau. When he finishes the line, he is looking down at the car, but in the next shot, Thaddeus is suddenly looking at Dylan. (00:46:30)
Continuity mistake: When Lula is showing Jack the belt that she pick-pocketed, she is holding the belt with the buckle dangling at the bottom, but in the next shot, the belt is suddenly being held by the buckle. (00:47:30)
Continuity mistake: While Chase and Merritt are drinking in the bar, in one shot Chase is wearing sunglasses, in the next shot the sunglasses have disappeared. (00:48:10)
Continuity mistake: When Merritt and Chase are talking at the bar, they are sitting side by side facing the bar, but when the shot changes, they are suddenly turned 90° to face each other. (00:48:30)
Audio problem: In the bar, when Chase is telling Merritt his ploy of distracting him while the other Horsemen screw over Walter isn't going to work, whenever the shot is behind Chase, Chase's mouth movements do not match the dialogue when he is speaking. (00:48:35)
Audio problem: Jack "hypnotises" Chase in the bar to make him apologise to Merritt and slaps Chase on the face to wake him back up again. Chase then says "Merritt", but his lips don't move. (00:49:00)
Continuity mistake: When the Horsemen arrive at the Macau Science Centre, Allen Scott-Frank tries talking with the South African gangster and is ignored. The gangster rolls up the window and the shot cuts to the Horsemen. Daniel is shown looking towards Merritt, but when Allen says "or not" in the next shot, Daniel is suddenly looking at Allen.
