Factual error: When it's 00:00 on January 1st, it's not night in Sydney, it's 11 AM. When they 'reveal' stuff at the end of the movie, and they show that things happen exactly at 00:00 in the night in London, it can't possibly be dark in Sydney, Australia.

Now You See Me 2 was a movie I can say is definitely watchable; I can easily watch this movie to pass the time, however I did not think that this movie left the same impact as the first movie. The second movie manages to retain some of the things that made the first movie work; it has its moments of comedy and action and the characters are still fun to watch. However, I never felt the magic from that made the first movie work was not as present here. The storyline did not feel as engaging, some of the comedy and magic scenes fell flat, and on some occasions takes itself seriously, which did not feel right for this type of movie. Overall, Now You See Me 2 is a movie I can say is watchable, albeit not as effective as its predecessor.
Suggested correction: It shows that Sydney is at dusk and is becoming dark, so around 5pm-6pm-ish, not 11am during the day.
Arthur Tressler: Hell is going to seem like a day at the spa by the time we're through with these Horsemen, wouldn't you say?
Walter Mabry: You had me at "Hell."
Question: While the chip that Walter recovered from the Horsemen was presumably fake (as the Horsemen discovered earlier in the film), why then did they alert the FBI to that chip?
Answer: The only ones who knew the chip was fake were the Horsemen, no one else did. Walter did not know the chip was fake. The plan was to convince Walter that the chip was real so that they could lure him out of hiding with Walter attempting to kidnap and later kill them, and expose Walter to the public in doing so. They told the crowd after exposing Walter about the chip, because while it was a fake, they still had plans with it assuming it was real. If by "alert the FBI", you were referring to when Dylan gave the FBI director the evidence on Walter and Tressler, that was not the chip he gave to her, that was a hard drive containing all of Walter and Tressler's past dealings.
