Continuity mistake: After Carina tells Jack and the others that she's an astronomer which has nothing to do with donkeys, when Jack threatens to kill Henry in the shot facing him he's holding his left hand up pointing at Henry, but in the next shot facing Henry it's Jack's right hand up pointing at Henry.
Continuity mistake: Laureline is not wearing a safety harness when talking to Valerian, but it appears and disappears several times as the shot cuts back and forth to Valerian. Laureline then puts on the safety harness she was already wearing.
Continuity mistake: Jon fell over on the rainy day and he can't get up. When he blindly goes for his phone, clothes he had on the bedstand (and that he could have put on) disappear between shots, and when he knocks the magazine off the bedstand and the pillow underneath, there is no trace of the tube that is instead perched on it later in the scene. Continuity mistake: When Martha walks up on Spencer at the creek he says he's filling the canteens with water (he has one in each hand), then when they start talking about liking each other, the canteens have disappeared.
Continuity mistake: During the opening scene with Ego and Quill's mother, they run into the woods behind the Dairy Queen, and mom is wearing boots with fur trim. When they get to where the Ego's plant is in the ground, she is suddenly wearing sandals.
Continuity mistake: During the arrival to the island there are 11 choppers. The first time Kong appears he takes down two. In the next sequence where they all see him for the first time 11 choppers still fly by Kong. (00:30:40)

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, Jamie Fox is stabbed. He goes to the men's room and the wound is on the right abdomen area as he applies the dressing to it. Continuity mistake: During the initial briefing, the digital clock initially points the time pretty accurately, but then gets stuck on minute 56 for way too long; it's at 12:56:35 when they whip out of the drug lord's folder, 20 seconds of dialogue elapse till the clock is shown again at 12:56:47, another 25 before it gets to 12:56:55, and about 40 seconds before it gets to...12:56:56.
