The Big Bang Theory mistake picture

The Pancake Batter Anomaly - S1-E11

Continuity mistake: When Sheldon walks out his bedroom wrapped in a comforter, he drops it on the higher level before the drop down to the kitchen. In the next shot as he walks away from the fridge, half of the comforter is now spread over the lower level without anyone moving it.

The Habitation Configuration - S6-E7

New this week Continuity mistake: When Howard is almost done moving out of his mother's house, there is a table in front of him with a measuring device in the top corner. In one shot, the device moves to the opposite corner of the table. In a few shots later, the item returns to its original position.

The Habitation Configuration - S6-E7

New this week Continuity mistake: When Wil first enters Fun with Flags, he has his flag partly on the table in front of him. In the next shot, the flag is not on the table at all.

The Extract Obliteration - S6-E6

New this week Continuity mistake: Sheldon is sitting by himself at a lunch table with an opened bottle of water with the bottle cap in front of the bottle. Raj and Howard arrive, and in one of the shots, the bottle cap moves closer to the bottle by itself.

The Extract Obliteration - S6-E6

New this week Continuity mistake: Sheldon is siting at the kitchen counter with a mug in front of him. In one shot, the string of a teabag appears coming out of the mug. In between shots, the teabag string moves by itself.

The Holographic Excitation - S6-E5

New this week Visible crew/equipment: When Sheldon has the tea kettle at any time, there are stage lights reflected on the pot.

The Higgs Boson Observation - S6-E3

New this week Continuity mistake: Sheldon is taking composition books out of a box that was sent to him. When he first starts pulling them out, he has two composition book in one hand. Two shots later, he has only one composition book in his hand, but he is picking up a second one.

The 2003 Approximation - S9-E4

New this month Factual error: Sheldon tries to pretend that it is 2003, before he met Leonard. But in the episode The 21 Second Excitation S4 E8 it was stated Leonard and Sheldon waited in line for 14 hours to see the midnight premiere of Star Trek: Nemesis. Star Trek: Nemesis premiered on the 9th of December 2002.

Season 1 generally

New this month Continuity mistake: In "The Luminous Fish Effect" (S1E04) Sheldon tells Penny he weighs 140 pounds. In "The Porkchop Indeterminacy" (S1E16), he tells his sister he weighs 165. 25lbs difference would be a noticeable change, but he looks the same.

The Dumpling Paradox - S1-E7

Other mistake: While the group are trying to figure out how to play Halo without Howard, Leonard jokingly suggests cutting Raj in half. Raj responds, "Oh sure, cut the foreigner in half. There's a billion more where he came from." But Penny is in the room with them, so there's no way he should be able to talk in front of her, or even if he's been drinking, the fact alcohol helps him isn't realised until the next episode, so the fact he can speak with her there should have surprised everyone, including him.

The Herb Garden Germination - S4-E20

Revealing mistake: When Sheldon is web chatting with Amy, we can hear Amy talking, yet the bar at the top of Sheldon's computer screen indicates that the sound is off.

The Barbarian Sublimation - S2-E3

Revealing mistake: When Sheldon gets the sword for Penny in the game, Penny walks out and you can see the laptop isn't switched on.

The Pirate Solution - S3-E4

Factual error: Sheldon says the movie Gremlins "baffles" him in regards to the instructions being very clear."Don't feed the gremlins after midnight." However, this instruction is only for caring of a Mogwai, not gremlins (the gremlins are formed by Mogwais eating after midnight). Sheldon, of all characters, would not mistake Mogwais for Gremlins and he would know the exact wording of the instructions.

The Pork Chop Indeterminacy - S1-E15

Character mistake: Through the whole episode, Missy's accent is sometimes completely missing in scenes and then stronger and more noticeable in others.

The Bad Fish Paradigm - S2-E1

Factual error: At the very beginning of the episode Leonard says "So you see what you're eating is not technically yogurt because it doesn't have enough live active acidophilus cultures." He is implying this is a scientific fact (he's not just giving his opinion on yogurt.) But to meet the U.S. standards for yogurt, only the starter cultures Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus are required, not Lactobacillus acidophilus. The presence or absence of L. acidophilus does NOT determine a food's identity as yogurt (which Leonard's line is implying).

The Hot Troll Deviation - S4-E4

Factual error: During the final scene of this episode, Sheldon steps out of his office wearing a gas mask and engages Leonard in conversation where he then states he is making hydrogen sulphide gas (more commonly known as H2S). Leonard correctly identifies this as highly flammable. However, this gas is far more dangerous and is harmful to the human body at as low a concentration as 20 parts per million (ppm), can cause permanent damage at 100ppm and is fatal after two breaths at 500ppm. So for Raj (and his bird) to be completely unharmed in a high concentration of H2S (noted by the fire) is impossible.

The Skank Reflex Analysis - S5-E1

Continuity mistake: At the start of the episode, Raj's Sirkist can rotates itself on the table.

The Beta Test Initiation - S5-E14

Factual error: Penny picks up a hand gun, pulls back the slide to ensure the chamber is empty and then releases it, leaving it closed. She then loads a magazine into the butt of the weapon and hands it to Leonard. He starts to smooch her and shoots himself in the foot. The gun could not have fired, because Penny would have to pull the slide all the way back and then release it again to load the first bullet. There couldn't have already been a bullet in the chamber, as the whole reason Penny pulled the slide part of the way back in the first place was to check just that.

Grumpy Scot

The Discovery Dissipation - S7-E10

Continuity mistake: The Stevenson Award in Sheldon's office reads "Sheldon Cooper, PhD." But, in the "Dennis Kim" episode we are told Sheldon was 14.5 years old when he earned that award - 1.5 years before earning his PhD at age 16, so the award should not show the title of PhD.

The Big Bang Theory mistake picture

The Fuzzy Boots Corollary - S1-E3

Continuity mistake: When Sheldon is telling Leonard that he didn't ask Penny out, there is a yellow food-bag on the counter between them that keeps changing its position with every shot change.
