Emergency!

Dilemma - S1-E10

Other mistake: At the start of shift, while John's putting the pillowcase on the pillow we hear the dispatcher say, "Boat fire, dock 61," but subtitles read, "Open fire, dock 61." Subtitles from Universal Studios 2010 DVD.

Hang-Up - S1-E11

Other mistake: When the tones drop and the lights come on, waking up 51's guys in the middle of the night for the industrial fire, there are two closeups of the guys putting their feet into the boots and pulling up their turnout trousers. The problem is that the closeups are not Station 51's guys - note the beds, linens, walls, floor are all different. The two closeup shots are from the first episode "The Wedsworth-Townsend Act", and the guys are from Station 10.

Hang-Up - S1-E11

Other mistake: When Station 51 is dispatched in the middle of the night to the industrial fire, the dispatcher says "Time out 1:07," but later at Rampart after Brackett tells Johnny to stay the rest of the night because of the exposure to the radiation, we hear the voice on the PA announce, "Visiting hours are over" even though it's supposed to be at least 3:00 AM.

Super Grover

Hang-Up - S1-E11

Other mistake: During the burglar's rescue, when Roy uses the K-12 to cut the shaft he stops and hands the K-12 to Johnny, and in the closeup we can see he has made only one vertical cut on one side and to his left the fiberglass material hasn't even been ripped off, but after Cap's close-up, Roy's part of the shaft has been cut away on the left and right sides going all the way around the shaft, which is quite impossible since Johnny had already taken the K-12 from Roy.

Super Grover

Hang-Up - S1-E11

Other mistake: While searching for the location of the burglar in the shafts, after John asks for a boost up, we hear one of them say, "Cap," and Cap says, "Oh. Here's a ladder, Johnny," but the subtitles read that Roy says that. (It's worth seeing Johnny drop his helmet on Chet's head.) Soon we hear Johnny say, "Man, he's really stuck..." but subtitles read, "Damn, he's really stuck..." Then later, when John helps carry the cut shaft into the hall, Cap tells him, "Here, I'll take that," but subtitles read that John says that.

Super Grover

Hang-Up - S1-E11

Other mistake: After Station 51 responds to the 'man caught in an air conditioning duct', when they get on the elevator its metal sliding doors and metal jamb on the lower lobby have scratches and dents on the exterior, and the same scratches and dents are on the doors and jamb, when they reach the upper level.

Super Grover

Hang-Up - S1-E11

Other mistake: When 51's guys are watching an Adam-12 episode on TV (in Emergency!'s pilot, Reed and Malloy are real), on that show just after Reed is knocked out, the hitman says "Nate would've blown his stack if I'd let you go," (refers to hitman's partner, Nate), but Emergency!'s DVD subtitles read, "Pete would've blown his stack," (Pete Malloy is Jim Reed's partner). Moments later hitman Nate yells, "I wanna talk a deal," but subtitles read, "I wanna talk to Neil," and there isn't even anyone named Neil.

Crash - S1-E12

Other mistake: When Roy's talking to Dixie while John's waiting out in the squad, a call comes over the HT that Roy's holding, and Squad 51 is asked to respond to a 'possible heart case'. Roy pulls a piece of paper out of his pocket, and as we hear the dispatcher giving the address, we can see Keven Tighe softly mouthing the address at the same time that it's being given for the first time.

Super Grover

Crash - S1-E12

Other mistake: When the boy is brought to the ER by his babysitter, they hook him up to the ventilator and we see the bag dramatically showing inflation and deflation in the closeup, but in the wide shots the bag is deflated and doesn't move.

Super Grover

Decision - S2-E1

Other mistake: After rescuing the boy and his dog from the structure fire, when both of 51's rigs are backing up the driveway, the office door opens and we can see through the glass door that someone is standing there, even though they're all on the rigs. Next shot, that phantom individual has vanished.

Super Grover

Decision - S2-E1

Other mistake: When Station 51 is dispatched to the structure fire in the middle of the night, once they arrive at the burning house, one of the first shots shows a crowd of bystanders, many in their robes. That footage is from season 1, the pilot episode "The Wedsworth-Townsend Act", during the factory fire at the start of that episode.

Super Grover

Kids - S2-E2

Other mistake: While the guys are in the kitchen, deciding whether or not to keep the dog and then what to name him, when Chet is drinking the milk, we can see the red tape covering one side of the container to hide the brand name and logo.

Super Grover

Show Biz - S2-E3

Other mistake: When Squad 51 is on scene at the drowning incident, the victim's wife is wearing very unusual rings. One ring has a jumbo orange ball, another has a large cluster of small gold balls, and the third has large black and white pearls. Later, when the models are at the station they are wearing identical rings as seen in the previous scene, Suzanne is wearing two of the prop rings and Kathy is wearing the pearl ring.

Super Grover

Show Biz - S2-E3

Other mistake: During the rescue at the studio, when Roy tells Marco and Chet that they need to latch up the wagon before it pulls the stuntman over the falls, we hear the dispatcher say, "Copter 10, respond with Engine 69," but the subtitles read, "Trucker 10, respond..." There is no such thing as Trucker 10. Subtitles from Universal Studios 2010 DVD.

Super Grover

Show Biz - S2-E3

Other mistake: When Squad 51 is dispatched to the movie studio, while en route in the interior shot, in the rear-view mirror we see the reflection of the driver's helmet, and it has an 18 on it, instead of 51.

Super Grover

Peace Pipe - S2-E5

Other mistake: When John and Roy are up on the scaffold with the injured man during the sniper fire, from the time they unfurl the large tarp and tie it off to the beams the sniper fires zero shots at them, zip, but later at the station Chet asks John, in all seriousness, if he got a good look at the tarp before they left, and tells him that the tarp looked like Swiss cheese due to the sniper fire.

Super Grover

Saddled - S2-E6

Other mistake: When Squad 51 is dispatched to the 'child in a coma', the address is given as "3705 Orchard", but when they park on the building's corner the street sign reads Colfax. As an aside, this is the same location/footage that is used in 2x5, "Peace Pipe", with the address given as "1017 Crocker" in that episode.

Super Grover

Fuzz Lady - S2-E7

Other mistake: When the tones drop and Station 51 is dispatched to the "structure fire", there's a closeup of all the guys running from the kitchen and the back heading to the squad and engine, and none of them are actually 51's guys.

Super Grover

To Buy or Not to Buy - S5-E14

Other mistake: On scene at the traffic accident, when the woman and the boy with non-serious injuries are seated at the back of the ambulance, neither Roy or Johnny are going along with them to Rampart, yet Johnny puts the drug box inside the back of the ambulance with them, and the ambulance drives off. With their drug box! Captain Stanley even says that he'll advise dispatch that they're available for a run at the scene, while the guys will be looking for the dog.

Breakdown - S6-E15

Charlie: I think you guys are playing games with me, and I don't like it.
Roy: Now, wait a minute. We're not playing games. We don't play games with the equipment...
Captain Stanley: Wait, hold on. C'mon everybody, look we're all on the same side here, aren't we?
Charlie: I wonder.
Captain Stanley: Charlie, why can't we put the squad in the shop and have us a reserve vehicle here?
Charlie: No, no, Hank. Not until I'm 100% sure that I can't fix it. If there's anything wrong with it. This coffee stinks. [Leaves the room.]
Captain Stanley: You guys playing some kind of joke on him?
John: We didn't make the coffee!
Captain Stanley: Not the coffee, you twit, the squad.
Roy: Cap, there's something wrong with that squad out there.
Captain Stanley: [sigh.] All right, if you say so... I made the coffee.

More trivia for Emergency!

Show generally

Question: In quite a few episodes of Emergency there is a character that the doctors and other nurses call Nurse Carol. She is the older nurse with dark hair. I would say she is on at least a fourth of all episodes in all seasons yet I can not see this actress getting credited or listed as uncredited anywhere. I wonder if she was an actual nurse. Does any one know who she was. Yes there also were a couple of other actresses who played a nurse named Carol on one or two episodes and they are listed in the episode guides. She also is the patient with her arm in the cast talking to Dr. Morton in the episode 6:18 Firehouse Quintet.

Answer: On IMDB, actress Anne Schedeen is listed as playing Nurse Carol on six episodes from 1974-76.
